When we arrived at the Longshan Temple Huaxi Street Tourist Night Market, we saw a lot of people queuing outside Xiao Wang’s boiled melon shop in the distance as we walked. The most famous dish in the store is the braised pork rice. The meat is cooked to a caramel color which is very attractive, and it is also known as the black gold braised pork rice. Not only does it not feel greasy when eaten, but when paired with rice with distinct grains, it makes people want to eat it again and again. The photo shows a large bowl of braised pork rice, and the small portion of braised tofu is also well-flavored and tender inside. Another popular dish is the clear melon and pork soup. The soup base is made from large bones. Although the taste of the soup base is a bit heavy, the meat soup has a surprisingly chewy texture and a large portion. You can also refill the soup for free. Finally, the cold dish garlic chicken that I personally recommend is made with boneless chicken legs, topped with garlic sauce and served with shredded ginger. It is juicy and smooth when eaten. The dining environment in Xiao Wang Zhugua restaurant is bright and clean, which deserves praise. The quality of the food is well-known and it is no wonder that it has been awarded as one of the 2021 Michelin Bib Gourmand recommended foods.
