Journey to Taiwan - The National Palace Museum in Taipei

There is a common perception that the architecture of the National Palace Museum is in Beijing, while most of its collections are in Taipei. As for how these treasures made their way from Beijing to Taipei, there is a wealth of written and audiovisual materials available for reference, which I will not elaborate on here. In fact, apart from the rich collections, I believe that the architecture of the National Palace Museum in Taipei is quite remarkable in itself. It not only perfectly reproduces the essence and aesthetic of Chinese architectural culture but also provides a safe and comfortable modern residence for the cultural relics that sought refuge here. It should be regarded as an integral part of the museum's historical continuity and expansion. A day's visit is merely a glimpse into the museum's collection, and it doesn't even qualify as a cursory look. Despite the rush, the visit was still effective, especially in terms of the admiration and comfort felt towards the Taipei National Palace Museum's efforts in protecting and restoring these Chinese treasures and cultural relics.
