Visit Taipei's Historical Architecture: OKM Mountain Goods (formerly Kincho Japanese Dormitory Group)

The Kincho Japanese Dormitory Group is a mid-level official residence group built during the Japanese colonial period in Kincho, Taipei. The construction dates back to the Showa era. The Japanese dormitories in Kincho were employee dormitories of the Forestry Division of the Taiwan Governor-General's Office, known at the time as 'Kincho Rokujotori.' The spatial layout of the Kincho Japanese Dormitory Group features a Japanese residential style. The exterior is characterized by bamboo and mud walls covered with rain boards, wooden trusses for the roof frame, and Japanese black tiles on the roof. The overall structure is wooden, retaining the characteristics of Japanese architecture. The entire area is oriented north-south, with a large-scale community and complete layout. According to the Cultural Heritage Preservation Act, it has been registered as a 'Taipei City Historical Building.' The Forestry Bureau obtained a ten-year operating right from the Chinmei Group, and '0km Mountain Goods' was born on March 22, 2024.
