Taoyuan | Urban Pseudo-Camping | Lulu Coffee.
Today I had fun in Taoyuan~
A very cool coffee shop
The overall theme is camping style~ For someone like me who has never camped before
I took it as a camping experience
Their meals come in a lunch box style (and there's even a thermal bag)
It really has a camping vibe
The chairs in the shop are the same
And there's a cute cat, it sleeps inside the tent~
Super cute and doesn't bite
The food is also delicious😋 There are main dishes and even fitness meals to choose from~
I want to go to Hong Kong to enjoy delicious food~
Saw Seen Woo Ying Cheng
#winhkflight
Address No. 99, Minfeng 1st St, Longtan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan 325.
Highlights: The Saw Seen Woo Ying Cheng is a nice place to spend with friends and family. As I wandered through its streets, I felt like I was stepping back in time. The ancient buildings and narrow alleyways told stories of days gone by, each corner holding secrets waiting to be discovered. The atmosphere was bustling yet tranquil, with locals going about their daily routines amidst the backdrop of historical architecture.
Exploring its streets and immersing myself in its rich heritage seems like an adventure filled with excitement and wonder. Just like Saw Seen Woo Ying Cheng, Hong Kong promises to be a place of endless fascination.

Longyuan Temple
#winhkflight
Address: No. 246, Donglong Rd, Longtan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan 32571.
Highlights: The Longyuan Temple is the belief centre on Longtan Street and one of the starting points of the development of Longtan. It is dedicated to the Lord of Five Grains. There are many time-honoured snack brands gathered around the temple, and the scene is lively.
There is a shed in the square in front, and there are some artistic activities here during festivals. There is a night market nearby with a lot of delicious food.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to learn about the legends and stories behind the founding of temples in Hong Kong.

Amazing Longtan Lake
#winhkflight
Address: 325, Taiwan, Taoyuan City, Longtan District, No. 11.
Highlights: The Longtan Lake is beautiful and accessible at the same time. There is a light show at night.
The views were great and the staff very helpful and efficient. What more can I say but experience a blowout of Water Kitty and the surroundings. We had ice-cold drinks and ice cream after disembarking. I had great fun and laughed most of the time because paddling is exhausting. You can take the MRT Blue Line and get off at BL02 then take the bus 709.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to relax by the tranquil shores of a lake in Hong Kong.

TPE Airport
We flew in and out of Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE) to visit Taiwan. The international terminal is very convenient and has lots of shops and food venues. We noticed that Taiwan loves Sanrio characters, and the airport also had several cute Sanrio shops. There were also several stores selling famous Taiwan snacks and souvenirs. Small rest areas and art galleries are scattered around the terminal as well to help travelers pass the time.

Strolling the Streets of Taoyuan🛣️🏨🏬🏙️
From the moment I arrived in Taoyuan, Taiwan, the city's energy enthralled me. As I explored the streets, Taoyuan revealed itself to be a modern metropolis pulsing with life.
Venturing down bustling Zhongshan Road, I was immersed in urban buzz. Gleaming skyscrapers tower above the sidewalks, while shoppers pore over sparkling store displays. The aroma of street food tempts from every corner, from fried chicken cutlets to savory soups. Locals on scooters zip by as I dodge and weave through the rivers of pedestrians.
Ducking down a side street, I stumbled upon the intricate artwork of the Taoyuan Street Art Village. Bold graffiti murals in vivid colors transform the walls into an outdoor art gallery. Here, creative energy spills onto the streets.
Further down, the impressive domed roof of the Taoyuan Metro Line 1 station catches my eye. This sleek transportation hub connects the city, blending modern style with practicality.
At Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine, I find respite from the city rush. The graceful Chinese architecture honors those who sacrificed for Taiwan. People practise tai chi in the shade of trees, moving slowly in the quiet oasis.
Walking west, bustling diners at the Liuhe Night Market tempt me with wafts of traditional xiaolongbao dumplings. The smells and smiles entice me to grab a tasty snack and simply watch the crowd go by.
With its jewels of culture, dashes of nature, rivers of flavors and currents of humanity, Taoyuan intrigues. Here I found a city alive with possibility at every turn. At day's end, I was already eager to see what new adventures tomorrow's Taoyuan streets might hold.

local delights in Taoyuan
recommeded by the locals in Taoyuan City, we popped by 金和冬粉鱼丸 , an over 50 years old shop. A down to earth shop front, this place served some delicious local food.
1. Melon pork rice - similar to Braised pork rice, the melon pork rice was more flavourful. First time trying it and fell in love with it.
2. Soup with fishball stuff with meat and vermicelli - the fishball was chewy, and the soup was flavourful.

Starlux A350 Business Class fun
#wecreate
The highlight of the trip! ❤️
With a J cabin so pretty, it is no wonder Starlux’s business class has garnered such rave reviews 🍀
The classy brown / black tones of the seat was such a delight for the almost 4-hour flight - fancy seat functions, electronic window, plenty storage space, zero gravity position, and of course fantastic headphones ✌🏻
The beef short ribs char siu is one of the best business class meals I’ve ever had in my life - I want to eat it again! Coupled with 4 servings of the Baileys Martini, the meal was memorable for sure. Especially when I knocked out for 30mins thereafter heh 🤣
Service was fantastic served up by the youthful crew and there was no sense of hurried service anywhere despite it being a full cabin. Kudos to the team for being prompt and polite to a fault 🎊
This marks the end of my Starlux-ury hop and I’m so glad I did it ✈️
Starlux Galactic Lounge chillax
#wecreate
Ah, STARLUX’S flagship lounge! 🔥
I almost didn’t get to experience this as I was given an invitation to Plaza Premium at check in and informed that the reason was because the airline was expecting full house. But I decided to chiong as fast as I can to beat the crowd anyways! 😂
So glad I did!
The shimmering brown tones of the lounge was such a welcome respite from the airport madness and I was ushered into peace and tranquility by the smiley staff who offered the on-demand breakfast menu 🍲
The lounge itself is not big and I was able to get some nice shots being the first pax at 545am. Solo seats and communal options were available, with a TV and magazine selection for those who need the distraction. 📺
Food wise, a small buffet selection is available with the usual breakfast-y stuff but the highlight is the on-demand menu! I tried both the speciality ramen (very salty leh) and soy bean set (not bad la) just to check them off. ✌🏻
Service was all smiley efficiency by the youthful team and soiled items were cleared fairly quickly as well 🍀
The space filled up quickly thereafter so please come early if you can to snag a spot! 🎊
Historical Buildings Of Daxi Old Street
#taipei #taiwan #taoyuan #oldbuildings #attractions #mustvisit #souvenirs #localfood #oldstreet
Taoyuan is a city located in Taiwan, about less than an hour drive from the city of Taipei. There are many tourists attractions to go where one of which is the Daxi Old Street located at Heping Rd, Daxi District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan 335. Most people hire a driver to drive here in Taiwan, but we did a self drive and parking here can be a problem if you arrive later in the morning as these old streets are narrow and have limited space let alone parking.
Daxi Old Street is lined with many old shop houses that sells local Taiwanese snacks, souvenirs and handicrafts. Apart from these there are also restaurants here that are quite popular among the locals. This is where we had to try the local steamed chicken(abit tough) and the smelly toufu but soaked in mala. The fried smell toufu smell was too overpowering so instead we had the other version of it. Well the experience was not too bad, but you have to be someone who like traditional Chinese food to begin with.

Chun Shui Tang Taoyuan Station Branch
visited Chun Shui Tang in Taoyuan. it is located at the Basement of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi near to th3 Taoyuan Train Station.
Well known to be the first shop to invent bubble tea, ordering the milk tea is a must. unlike previously, we can now choose the sugar level according to our liking.
we also tried the food -
1. the salted popcorn chicken was really flavourful. crispy on the outside but tender on the inside.
2. the sesame soy milk noodle was healthy with all the vegetables that came with it. the sesame sauce was not too strong. it was just nice to keep us going to finish the bowl of noodles.

Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine and Cultural Park
Visited Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine and Cultural Park as it was near Hutoushan Park.
A very small shrine and cultural park, this is a well-preserved Japanese era Shinto shrine. the volunteer mentioned that the main hall took the shape of a rice barn. a very simple building but with a big history behind it.

Jing Fu Gong Temple 景福宮
The hotel staff recommended that we visit Jing Fu Gong Temple (景福宮). And so, we visited it while on the way to Zhongli Night Market.
this temple has more than 100 years of history and is regarded as a major temple by the locals. It is easily spotted as it is located right in the middle of the road junction.
you can also learn more about the temple in one of the rooms within the temple.

is Hutoushan Park, not hutoushan Environmental Park
we concluded Hutoushan Park is a park that the locals visit on a regular basis. we hardly see any tourists during our hike today.
At the different parade squares at different parts of the park, we can see many locals doing mass dances or exercises.
the locals are very friendly and nice, and they will chat with us and guide us along the way. the different attractions of the Hutoushan park are linked up, and we can loop to get around.
From here, we walked to the Hutoushan environmental park, which is worth a visit, too.

eat and shop at Daxi Old Street
took a day trip to Daxi Old Street - it was not a very long street, and we guessed that it was a weekday, which explains why many shops were not opened. nonetheless, we managed to eat some local delights like the dried tofu and tofu pudding.
it was interesting to also learn that it was the hometown for Fong Fei Fei, and we learnt a little of her biography in the Daxi wood Art Eco museum.
besides, we also visited the Puji Temple, the Daxi Bridge, and the Dax Wood Arti Eco Museum.
daxi bridge
before we reached Zhongzheng Park near Daxi Old Street, we came across the Daxi Bridge.
this bridge spans over the Dahna River and is about 280 metres long. From here, we could see the Shihmen Dam, which is quite serene.
the design of the bridge is kind of following the Baroque architectural style, which was quite similar to the style of building structure found on Daxi Old Street.
Dropped by if you are around the area.
coca cola is a drink and more
visited the Coca-Cola museum in Taoyuan. please note that advance reservation is required.
spent an hour with the guide who provided interesting facts and stories about Coca-Cola - from birth till now, interesting milestones of 4he product and their sponsorship and endorsement of some world sports events.
And, at the end of the tour, we were each given a small can of coca cola.

Puji Temple at Daxi
not a very big or grand temple, but this Puji Temple is to wrorship Lord Guan (Guan Yu). Full of history, this temple holds a very grand celebration on the lunar calendar on 24th June as it was the birthday of Guan Yu. the local says that it is even more grand than the New Year celebration.
this temple is located at one of the end points of Heping Street, near Zhongshan Park. easily accessible, worth a visit if you visit Daxi Old Street.
Taoyuan 77 art zone
Taoyuan 77 art zone is a place where history and art are infused into one. the Japanese-style wooden buildings houses some arty-farty products.
I'm not sure if it was due to the rain or if it is a weekday. There aren't any pop-up shops around. but we do appreciate our short time visiting this art zone.

Taoyuan Tourist Night Market
visited Taoyuan Tourist Night Market on a drizzling night, finding some comfort food.
1. Chiayi Shun’s oyster omelette and squid soup
this shop sells only 3 items and we ordered 2 of them to try. The squid soup texture was thick and flavourful. the squid was not too tangy and was easy to chew.the oyster omelette was good. it was cooked with vegetables as well, and the sauce really complemented the omelette. Ntd 70 for each dish
2. pig blood cake - steamed pork blood, sticky rice, and then coated in peanut powder was really great and cheap - NTD 30 for a stick
3. hot grass jelly filled with some condiments - first time trying hot grass jelly and it was really comforting on a rainy day.

hutoushan environmental park
hutoushan environmental Park is a small park but gives a good view of the city. unfortunately, it was rather cloudy on our day of visit.
it also houses an art sculpture made from steel (artist: Wang Wen Chih). when we stepped into the sculpture, we noted a lot of pictures, which represents the different attractions around Taiwan. it was really nice as it triggered back some memories of places we been to previously.
it was nice to spend a little time after the walk at Hutoushan.
tao garden hotel
staying at Tao Garden Hotel for 2 nights. the location of the hotel was fantastic -
1. bus 706 from Taoyuan Airport stops just a few steps away from the hotel entrance
2. sreps away and near to the manyshops where we can shop nonstop
3. near to the taoyuan station where we can take train easily
the twin room is considered big for 2 persons. sufficient walking space despite 2 luggage lingering around.
average price per night per room is SGD100. really worth it.

City Suites Taoyuan Station, Taiwan
#taiwantrip #vacation #holi2023
Looking for a decent hotel that is near to Taoyuan Train (TRA) Station? Here you go, City Suites Taoyuan Station!
City Suites Taoyuan Station is located just 5 minutes walk away from the Train Station.
The hotel itself is located in a small alley, do keep a lookout as it may easily be missed out.
We took quite sometime to find the alley, as the hotel signage is not obvious.
The lift lobby environment is not very pleasant as you will see cockroaches running around.
When you get up to level 6 where the hotel lobby is at, the overall environment is so much better.
The hotel room size is just nice for two pax and is good enough just for a few nights stay.

Neat and efficient airport
Taoyuan Airport is most likely the first port of entry if you are arriving in Taiwan.
This airport is very efficient and easy for transit as well as for arriving passengers. Do note that you need to fill up the arrival card before queuing up at the immigration line. The line can get long if there are many flights arriving at the same time.
What I like about this airport is its connection to Taipei city via Airport MRT. For 150 NT, you can get a comfortable ride to town.
