Spring | As everything comes back to life, the grand animal show at Ueno Zoo has begun

👍 Ueno Zoo, you really know how to have fun! ✅ Where to find fantastic beasts? Right at Tokyo's Ueno Zoo. ❤ Tokyo's Ueno Zoo is the oldest and most popular zoo in Japan. In addition to animals unique to Japan, the zoo's 'class president' giant panda is undoubtedly the star here. Besides the giant panda, there are also very precious animals from the central African and Zaire jungles, such as okapis. 🌟 The zoo houses about 3,000 animals, divided into eastern and western garden areas. The Eastern Garden focuses on elephants, hippos, and tigers, as well as native animals like the Japanese serow, Yezo deer, Hokkaido brown bear, and rare birds. The Western Garden is home to giraffes, kangaroos, hippos, okapis, finger monkeys, and many other creatures, complemented by a natural view of reptiles and amphibians, as well as a small mammal museum for nocturnal animals. 🖼 The Eastern Garden has Japan's oldest monkey mountain, which houses native Japanese macaques. Not far from Monkey Mountain is the historic five-storied pagoda, connecting the ancient and the new with nature, which is a feature of Ueno Zoo. Open from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays and weekends (last admission at 4:00 pm). 💰 Admission: 600 yen for adults, 300 yen for discount tickets, 200 yen for junior and senior high school students, and free for children in elementary school. Free admission on October 1st, May 4th, and March 30th every year.
