COFFEE AOI

— Toranomon Hills, Tokyo, December 2024 — Coffee Aoi @coffee.aoi is a hidden gem, just a stone’s throw from @matsuyacoffeeten. It’s the sort of place you either frequent as a regular or deliberately seek out. With only six seats, timing is everything. I arrived just after the 8am opening and managed to get the last seat. During my visit, the calm, almost temple-like atmosphere offered a moment of tranquility and a chance for quiet reflection. Two ladies from LA and Denver were on a similar coffee trail, two gents chatted about AI, crockery, and themselves! And I was fortunate to sit next to the delightful artist @memotto_mari.
