🇵🇹 The Only Remaining Fort in Ponta Delgada

There were a few forts in Ponta Delgada in the past, but all were demolished over time except one, the military fort of São Brás. Forte de São Brás is located near the port of Ponta Delgada. It is a coastal Renaissance fortress dating back to 1552 and now houses the Military Museum of the Azores. The entrance costs only 1€ per adult. The museum displays a lot of military weapons and tanks used in the past. We climbed to the top of the fort and were rewarded with amazing views of the city and the seafront. 📍 Avenida Infante D.
