Wenchuan town. 📍2 hours northwest from Chengdu on the G4217. A beautiful town full of great architecture and culture, with added history of heroism after the 2008 earthquake that shook the region. This is only one of the fascinating towns along the G213 all the way to Songpan, all with their individual charm🏮. Visit the Wenchuan cultural museum to learn more about the folklore and traditions (closed on Mondays) and walk around the busy streets with lots of merchants selling fruits and the famous Sichuan peppers🌶🌶🌶😋, to get an authentic feel of the region.
