Explore Yunzhongling and encounter a fairyland on earth

Yunzhongling is located in Wolong Nature Reserve, Wenchuan, Sichuan. The peaks and meadows are surrounded by clouds and mist all year round. When the clouds roll, the continuous mountains appear and disappear in the sea of clouds, creating a stunning view. Yunzhongling has a 360° viewing platform, where you can overlook many snow-capped mountains, such as Panlong Mountain, Huoshaogang, Yuzui Peak, and Daxuetang. The alpine meadow below the ridge is called Yunzhong Pasture, with an altitude of about 2,000 to 3,000 meters. It is an undeveloped alpine landscape, and the grassland changes color with the seasons. Every autumn, the primeval forest turns from emerald green to colorful, like an oil painting world under the brush of a painter. This is also a primitive place with herds of cattle and sheep. If you are lucky, you may even encounter a giant panda. Today, we were lucky enough to see a golden pheasant. Yunzhongling is mainly a hiking route: Route A takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. You will first walk on the steps for 30 minutes, and then on the meadow road. The overall route is relatively simple, and usually ends at the second swing, which is suitable for people who do not exercise much and have social needs. Route B continues to the top of the mountain, which is relatively difficult. The whole journey is 10 kilometers round trip, with an elevation gain of 1,000 meters, and the peak is more than 3,000 meters above sea level. Along the way, you can see free-range cattle, yaks, sheep, and horses on the mountain. Travel tips: Transportation: You can navigate to Xueyuan Hotel, and then take a transfer car for about 10 minutes to Yunzhongling. The transfer car costs CNY 30, and the cleaning fee is CNY 14. Equipment: You need to bring a windproof jacket, hat, hiking shoes, trekking poles, etc. In winter, you also need to prepare crampons.
