|Xiamen Andaz's Mediocre Stay Experience. My parents came to Xiamen to attend the graduation ceremony, and coincidentally experienced the fourth Andaz branch in China. Public Area: The hotel boasts a Nanyang garden, which is fully reflected in the design style of the lobby bar and the corridor. The wooden fragrance in the public area is very elegant, and walking through it feels very relaxing. When returning at night, the corridor lights are turned off, which is somewhat eerie. (P1-6) Guest Room: As a Hyatt Globalist, I booked a twin bed + corner room configuration. I mentioned a simple arrangement in advance and found a specially written graduation card (P7). The little elephant on the bed (P8) was particularly lovely and thoughtful. It seems that the room cards have been replaced with wooden ones. The toiletries on the countertop are Le Labo 22, and the bergamot scent seems to be consistent with the public area. I love the woody fragrance. A small episode during check-in: The hotel had combined the two twin beds into one large bed in advance. When I saw the bed, I frantically thought I had booked the wrong room. After explaining the situation, the manager at check-in added a bed for free. However, the twin beds are really small, feeling like they are less than 1m2 each... No wonder they were combined. Dining: This time, I only experienced the Chinese restaurant and the HH provided by the Bar. The breakfast area is much smaller than expected. When I first walked in, I was like: Is this it? But the food was quite good. The waffle from the à la carte menu was delicious, and the Eggs Benedict was also good (P11). Highly recommended. I spent 75 USD at the Chinese restaurant. Although I didn't reserve the roast duck in advance, the special black gold roast goose for dinner was very juicy. HH open time is 5-7 PM. When I went there around 6:30 PM, it felt like there was not much supply. I don't know if it was because there were too many people or the dessert supply was slow, but it always felt like everything was gone shortly after being brought out. Facilities: I didn't experience the pool (P12) and gym this time. The area is not large, but it's convenient to borrow a swim cap from the staff. The service was quite considerate, at a normal level.
