This small island, famous for its "literary" atmosphere, has always been a place for college students to go on graduation trips. The B&Bs and hotels here have nothing to do with vacations. It wasn't until I stayed at Qishang Banyan House that I realized this small island could also be a place for a tranquil vacation. · This hotel, with only seven rooms, gave me many surprises. A big banyan tree, an old building, a small bookstore, a family feast, and a group of lovely housekeepers have always been guarding the lifestyle of this small island. The housekeeper took me to the routes locals go to, to eat sweet soup on the old street, take a walk by the sea, and then listen to an organ in the concert hall. The "literary" atmosphere of Gulangyu is really high-class. · The three-day, two-night island vacation passed slowly. I ate well, slept well, and felt tranquil and leisurely. On the morning of my departure, the housekeeper went to the street to buy breakfast. I heard that this is the breakfast that locals eat every day. There was a dazzling array of food, and it was delicious. · I think I will stay at Banyan House again next time I come to Gulangyu. When the tourists leave and the sunset falls, I will sit quietly under the banyan tree and feel it all. An island vacation is so free and easy. · I'll come again next time～
