Standup paddling Yokohama Bay River

I have no idea if this is even possible at the Yokohama River. It was by chance I managed to see this guy on his standup paddling board on the river during one of my morning walks around the hotel. I saw him getting his standup paddling board and he just stood on it easily. Then he started paddling towards the awesome views which I was looking at everyday. So I went to look for a rental shop nearby to try out paddling too. I was right about him, he brought his own paddle board.
