Yufuin in Oita, Japan is fun and stunning. Yufuin have a beautiful lake, walking street and many onsen or hot spring. It is nice to get off the train and stroll around the town with plenty of little shops and cafes to explore. You can rent a bicycle for bike and explore around the town. I feel simple and slow life when I visit this place and definitely go back! If you are going onsen in Yufuin you would have visited the area. But if you are not planning for onsen in the area and have JR Pass and in Hakata (Fukuoka), then this is an opportunity to visit the town.
