Endless rice fields roll in green waves, a beautiful leisurely countryside by the sea

Drive to Yakou Village in Zhongshan City and immerse yourself in this idyllic paradise. Upon arrival, the green rice fields dance in the wind, and the fragrance is refreshing, as if you are in the embrace of nature. We chose the most beautiful homestay in the local area, Hetian Xiangye, to stay. Our daughter quickly became friends with the enthusiastic and hospitable homestay owner, and became a morning running partner with the cute golden retriever 'Xixi Duo', and laughter echoed in the rice fields. The homestay owner drove an electric car to lead us to explore Yakou Village in depth, explaining along the way this unique village in Guangdong Province that insists on collective rice planting. History and modernity blend together, with ancient watchtowers telling the story of the years, one of which even carries the legendary past of Mrs. Li Xiaohuo from Hong Kong. The newly built buildings are well-arranged, the wall paintings are vivid and lively, reflecting the original local customs. Food is the highlight of the journey. We tasted the authentic clay pot rice and wontons with thin skin and full filling in Yakou Village, which are delicious; in the early morning, we walked to the nearby market, where the local breakfast is dazzling, especially the full and green Ai Tuan, each bite is a sincere tribute to traditional delicacies.
