JASON WATKINS
I've been to Chengdu ten times, and this time I came specifically to take my child out for a walk, to talk about my real feelings
🌏 In Christmas of 2023, Tangdou is three and a half years old. She has loved pandas since she was little, so this time, along with her little friends, we chose to visit the hometown of the giant pandas, to see enough at once. I've been to this city no less than ten times, and I love it so much.
🌟 This trip can be said to be a trip with besties plus a parent-child tour. The itinerary wasn't packed too full, it was more about slowly feeling the city.
🛏️ Accommodation: We chose Meiju near Chunxi Road, which is convenient to go anywhere from the subway station, and there are many places to wander around the hotel when the kids are tired.
1️⃣Day1 Chunxi Road - IFS International Finance Square (Giant Panda Sculpture) - Taikoo Li - Daci Temple
🌟 On the first day, we went straight to Chunxi Road, and just this place is enough to wander for half a day and a night.
🌟 I've visited IFS many times. My friend who hadn't been there went straight to the rooftop to take photos with the giant panda. After coming out, it's Taikoo Li, catching up with the LV exhibition big bag. The Christmas atmosphere here is very good, taking the kids and the beauties to take various photos. Opposite Taikoo Li is the famous 3D screen.
🌟 Next to it is the treasure Daci Temple, there is a very cute little Xiuxiu inside, you must go take photos and check in!!
2️⃣Day2 Giant Panda Base - Wide and Narrow Alleys
🌟 Early in the morning, we set off directly to the Giant Panda Base. There is a direct bus from Chunxi Road, it is suggested not to take a taxi but to take a ride, the kids love it too much, the bus with panda patterns (you can see the schedule on the official account).
🌟 We entered the base from the West Gate and regretted it a bit. It's recommended to enter from the South Gate and exit from the West Gate because several popular giant pandas are in the area near the South Gate. By the time the kids walked in from the West Gate, they were already out of energy. It's suggested to take the electric tour car, renting a small stroller won't work, because it's really too big!
🌟 After that, we went directly to the Wide and Narrow Alleys, to check in, take photos, and eat.
3️⃣Day3 East Suburb Memory - Chengdu Natural Museum - Jianxing Road
🌟 Today's route is to the east, to East Suburb Memory. Although I've been there several times, I still wanted to go. I really like this industrial style of cultural and creative, and there are really many trendy shops and cultural and creative spots suitable for taking photos and taking children to wander around. You can go to the homepage to see my special recommendations for East Suburb Memory.
🌟 The Natural Museum is very worthwhile for children to visit, with the Mineral Museum, Origin of Life, and dinosaur fossils all being favorites of the children; it's also close to East Suburb.
🌟 In the evening, we went straight to Jianxing Road. Ten years ago, I loved Jianxing Road, but now it feels like there are more ready-made dishes on Jianxing Road, we just ate something simple and went back. If you have time, it's recommended to go to Yulin Road.
4️⃣Day4 Du Fu Thatched Cottage - Wenshu Monastery - Wuhou Shrine + Jinli
🌟 Actually, People's Park and Chengdu Museum are also highly recommended, especially People's Park where you can sit for an afternoon drinking covered-bowl tea, but since we've been there, we chose the Thatched Cottage and Wenshu Monastery this time, and checked in at the famous happy red wall of Wenshu Monastery, which is really photogenic.
🌟 Wuhou Shrine and Jinli are together, and the night view of Jinli is also good.
5️⃣Day5 Leave one day for Dujiangyan
🌟 Transportation: Chengdu 30-minute intercity railway, get on at Xipu Station.
🌟 Yangtianwo Square: Check in at the popular giant panda photo spot of Reba.
🌟 Guanxian Ancient City, wander the ancient streets and eat snacks.
🌟 Panda Valley + South Bridge
🎖️ Autumn and winter in Chengdu are so beautiful, it's surprising that a city can really have so many ginkgo trees.

Chengdu three-day two-night free trip, hurry up and copy homework!
Chengdu·Sichuan, this city is irresistible. When you feel tired, you must come to Chengdu once and experience its slow life.
Transportation:
The scenic spots in Chengdu are very concentrated, and there are only a few stations between the subway stations. Moreover, each scenic spot has a bus that can be taken, which is very convenient. If you take the subway or bus, you just need to download an app called 'Tianfu Tong'.
Accommodation:
It is recommended to choose to live near Chunxi Road Taikoo Li, because it is very convenient to go anywhere.
Must-visit attractions:
'Wuhou Temple'
Here is the most beautiful red wall, friends who are obsessed with the Three Kingdoms must not miss it. Whether you take photos casually📷 or play the characters of the Three Kingdoms, this is an excellent background.
'Kuanzhai Alley'
This is an ancient alley that literary and artistic youths must check in. I used to think that Kuanzhai Alley was a street name, until I came to Chengdu to discover that it actually includes a wide alley and a narrow alley. Although there is a strong commercial atmosphere here, it is definitely a good place for sightseeing. Having a cup of coffee☕️ here and spending an afternoon will be a very comfortable experience.
'Jinli'
The night view🌃 is very beautiful at night, as if you have traveled to the scene of the ancient New Year's lantern festival, it is very lively. There are many stages, small bars and resident singers🎤 inside, giving people a unique atmosphere.
'Chunxi Road/Taikoo Li'
This is a gathering place for fashion trendsetters, and there are really many beauties. Be sure to take a photo with the giant panda at ifs🏬.
'Giant Panda Breeding Base/Chengdu Zoo'
It is a good choice for friends who like animals. Although general foreign tourists will choose the panda breeding base, the city zoo is also very good. In addition to the cute pandas🐼, there are many other animals waiting for your exploration.
'Jiuyan Bridge'
A good place for a walk🚶 at night, the night view here is very beautiful, making people feel peaceful. Taking a walk here is a good choice.
'Qingcheng Mountain'
Ticket🎫80/person, cable car🚠 one-way/35 person. Located outside Chengdu city, it takes a whole day to play. This is the famous place where the story of Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian took place, with beautiful scenery. The tour time is not long, about half a day, so you can return to Dujiangyan District to find food.
'Dujiangyan'
Ticket🎫80/person Sightseeing car10/person. This is not only a world-famous water conservancy project, but also a beautiful scenic spot. You can take the 101 bus from Qingcheng Mountain to Lidui Park Station, about an hour's drive.
Must-eat delicacies:
I am very longing for Chengdu's food. However, although we stayed there for a few days, we still didn't eat a lot of delicious food. Recommend Chengdu's hot pot🍲, spicy hot pot, sugar oil fruit/red sugar glutinous rice cake, Chengdu ice powder/tofu pudding and bobo chicken🐔.
Play small tips:
The airport has a direct bus to the city, and you can reach the city center for only 10 yuan.
If you want to taste delicious hot pot🍲, Chengdu's small shops can satisfy your taste, no need to go to expensive big shops.
Chengdu's famous bar street 339 is an excellent choice for drinking🍺.

A Must Visit Wuhou Shrine 🇨🇳
#timetotravel
One of the tourist stops when visiting Chengdu, The Wu Hou Temple or Shrine. This is an ancient temple during the three kingdom period in ancient China. It is recommended to come here early in the morning or as soon as the temple opens because it can get really crwoded when you leave it until the afternoon. We have been here twice and we always notice that tourists flock just before lunch or after lunch. Jinli shopping street is just nearby as well so you can do these two in one day. Ticket Price: 60 RMB. Address: No. 231 Wuhou Temple Street. #mytripvlog #tripblazers #temple #attraction #chintravel #history

Wuhou Memorial Temple, Chengdu, China
Tickets: 50 RMB/person
Don't forget to bring your passport !
Wuhou Temple is located in the southwestern part of downtown Chengdu. The date of its establishment is unclear. It was built next to the Temple of Liu Bei. The current Wuhou Temple was rebuilt in 1672.
Wuhou Temple, also known as Wuhou Shrine Temple of Marquis, is dedicated to Zhuge Liang. Zhuge Liang was an excellent politician, militarist and diplomat.
Before visiting this place, it is worth watching one of the movies about the era of the Three Kingdoms in Ancient China. It will become much clearer why this place attracts so many tourists. I recommend to watch "Red Cliff", directed by John Woo. It's a 2008–2009 Chinese epic war movie, based on the Battle of Red Cliffs (208–209 AD) and the events at the end of the Han dynasty.

Chengdu Gathering—City of Leisure.
On December 30, 2021, Chengdu was once again awarded the title of China's Happiest City. Let me tell you the secrets of Chengdu, the 'City of Leisure'🧐🧐🧐
1. Wuhou Shrine☘: Since you are in Chengdu, you must visit here. It tells the stories of the Three Kingdoms and narrates the stormy years to generations of Shu people. Next to Wuhou Shrine is Jinli.
2. Du Fu Thatched Cottage🎋: Do you remember the poem 'The Song of the Thatched Cottage Destroyed by the Autumn Wind'? 🤔🤔 Here, the poet sage Du Fu once took refuge and left behind the eternal masterpiece 'Would that I could get thousands of mansions to shelter all the poor scholars with smiling faces'.
3. Jinsha Site🦄: If the Sanxingdui this year brought many secrets to the world, then this place also witnessed the glory of ancient Shu🤩.
4. Sichuan Cuisine Museum🐣: As one of the eight major cuisines of China, how can Sichuan cuisine not have its heritage! The origins and preparation methods of various famous dishes and snacks are all presented here. You can also taste the snacks!
5. Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding: Who can resist the adorable and cuddly giant pandas! It is said that every Chengdu resident has a panda, hahaha! 🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼
In addition, there are these places
1. Huanhuaxi Park🐾: A great place for Chengdu people to relax.
2. People's Park🍁: If you want to meet quality singles in Chengdu, you might want to check this place out.
3. Teahouses🍃: You can skip other places, but you must experience a teahouse. Teahouses are the essence of leisure culture! Drinking tea🌿, playing cards, and chatting, for example, 'Heming Teahouse' has a history of a hundred years and is still in operation.
4. Sichuan Opera🐣: Do you know how Sichuan girls train men to be obedient? Watching the Sichuan Opera 'Rolling Oil Lamp' will give you the answer. Places to watch Sichuan Opera: Jinli, Kuanzhai Alley, Shufeng Yayun.
...
Of course, the charm of Chengdu is multifaceted and needs to be discovered by everyone. No wonder they say 'Young people should not enter Sichuan, and the old should not leave Shu'.

Wuhou Shrine is an unique shrine that houses temples of both of Zhuge Liang and Liu Bei, Liu Bei's tomb.
It is the only combined memorial temple for both a king and his minister in China.
It is one of the most influential site of "three kingdoms" and a must go if you are a big fan of the Romance of Three Kingdoms.

Although the red walls of Wuhou Shrine are indeed very photogenic, since you're here,
don't just focus on taking pictures, understanding these will make it worthwhile!
✅ Not only can you get beautiful photos, but you can also get full of knowledge points.
The cultural highlights of Wuhou Shrine 👇👇
·
🔖 Pre-study:
Wuhou Shrine is the only temple in the country where a monarch and his minister are jointly commemorated. Originally the Han Zhao Lie Temple for worshipping Liu Bei, the Shu King Zhu Chun invited the statue of Zhuge Liang into the temple, which later formed the layout of today's Wuhou Shrine.
·
How much do people respect Zhuge Liang? For thousands of years, people have repeatedly remembered and commemorated him. Even before the construction of a special temple for Zhuge Liang, people spontaneously worshipped him. Now, the reputation of Wuhou Shrine far exceeds that of Liu Bei's Han Zhao Lie Temple.
·
When you come to Wuhou Shrine, you have to talk about the Three Kingdoms. The statues and inscriptions of the Three Kingdoms figures in the temple are all historical clues. Listening to the stories of the Three Kingdoms here will be a vivid and special historical experience.

🗺️ Tour Route【Image ②】
(South) Main Gate - Tang Stele - Han Zhao Lie Temple - Liu Bei Hall - Civil and Military Officials Gallery - Zhuge Liang Hall - Sanyi Temple - Hui Ling - Red Wall Pathway
·
🌟 Highlights:
📍 Main Gate: The main gate is simple and majestic, with a traditional screen wall standing in front of it adding a touch of tranquility. Looking inside from the main gate, the main gate - Han Zhao Lie Temple - Wuhou Shrine are aligned along the north-south central axis, with trees lush like a canopy, serene and profound.
·
📍 Tang Stele (Treasure of the Shrine): Written by Tang Dynasty Prime Minister Pei Du, calligraphed by Liu Gongchuo, brother of the Tang calligrapher Liu Gongquan, and engraved by the famous craftsman Lu Jian from Shu, it elaborately records Zhuge Liang's civil and military achievements. Because the article, calligraphy, and engraving are all extremely exquisite, it is known as the 'Three Excellences Stele' and is a rare Tang stele preserved in Chengdu.
·
📍 Civil and Military Officials Gallery: Statues of important figures from the Shu Kingdom such as Pang Tong and Zhao Yun are lined up here. Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, Zhang Fei, and Guan Yu all have their own halls for worship. It is said that the memorials written by Yue Fei for Zhuge Liang's expeditions are also here.
·
📍 Wuhou Shrine: Be sure to read the heart-striking couplets hanging in front of Zhuge Liang Hall. 'To conquer the heart is to dispel opposition without a fight, from ancient times those who know war are not fond of battle; to misjudge the situation is to err in leniency and strictness, those who govern Shu in later times must ponder deeply,' to better understand Zhuge Liang's idea of winning hearts and scrutinizing the situation in governing Shu.
·
📍 Hui Ling: Liu Bei and his two wives are buried here. The tomb was personally designed by Zhuge Liang, and for over 1700 years, it has not been robbed and remains intact.
·
📍 Red Wall Pathway: If you hope for fewer people and better photos, be sure to arrive at Wuhou Shrine early in the morning and turn left directly after entering the main gate.
·

Explore the history of the Three Kingdoms and feel the charm of its culture
"Where to find the Prime Minister's temple? Outside the Brocade City, a forest of cypresses. The green grass by the steps reflects the spring hues, and through the leaves, the orioles sing without a care." This is Du Fu's most sincere description of the Wuhou Shrine in his poem 'Shu Prime Minister'.
Wuhou Shrine is the only temple in the country where a monarch and his minister are jointly honored, with the minister as the main figure and the monarch as the secondary, and it is also the most influential Three Kingdoms relic museum in the world.
Because of the people's unique adoration for Zhuge Liang, they prefer to call it Wuhou Shrine rather than naming it after Liu Bei.
I deeply admire the ancient architectural aesthetics when I see the red walls and bamboo shadows of Wuhou Shrine, the mottled sunlight sprinkling on the red walls, with green bamboo leaves peeking over.
Some people like Liu Bei, some people adore Zhuge Liang exclusively, and others admire Cao Cao.
Everyone has their own heroes in the epic saga of the Three Kingdoms.

Wuhou Shrine: A joint temple for lord and vassal
On March 13, 2024, I visited the Wuhou Shrine located at No. 231 Wuhou Shrine Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province for the Nth time.
I wandered in this unique national temple that jointly commemorates Emperor Liu Bei and his chancellor Zhuge Liang, savoring the integral parts of the Wuhou Shrine complex such as the Han Zhao Lie Temple, Wuhou Shrine, Hui Ling, and Sanyi Temple. I revisited the history of the Three Kingdoms, especially that of the Shu Kingdom, and paid homage to heroes like Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun, reaping a wealth of memories!

Chengdu - Wuhou Shrine
The only place in the country where a monarch and his minister are worshipped together, Emperor Liu Bei of Shu and Chancellor Zhuge Liang are both here~
Statues have also been erected for the famous ministers of Shu Han, but there are too many photos to post each one.
I've always been someone who loves the Three Kingdoms, and the most tear-jerking for me are Chancellor Zhuge Liang's words: 'Vast heaven, why do you treat me so thinly?' and Jiang Boyue of Tianshui's words: 'If this plan fails, it is destiny, one plan harmed three wise men.' Wishing to repeat the greatness of the Han dynasty, alas.
Here, I also recommend everyone to experience the romance of the Three Kingdoms that belongs to Shu Han. Those who have seen the Three Kingdoms should know the pity of the great Han.
I also recommend a route for everyone.
Recommended route: Main Gate - Tang Stele - Ming Stele - Main Hall of Han Zhao Lie Temple - Side Halls of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei - Corridor of Civil and Military Officials - Main Hall of Zhuge Liang (Heart-Attack Alliance) - Sanyi Temple - Peach Garden - Hui Ling - Red Wall Alley Punch - Exhibition Hall.
Ticket: Reservation for Chengdu Wuhou Shrine, 50 yuan for adults, half price for students.
That's all for now, I'm still the guy who wants to travel the world without enough sleep (budget travel, oh) living for myself, brothers.

Special Forces Tourism in Chengdu: An Extreme 3-Day, 2-Night Trip to See the Flowers
I've already visited Chengdu for the fourth time.
After all, who can resist the spicy hotpot, the covered-bowl tea in the park, the snow-capped mountains of Western Sichuan,
and the top female celebrity—Hua Hua the panda! 🐼
I've been to each attraction more than 3 times.
I stayed up late to organize a 3-day, 2-night Special Forces travel guide for Chengdu + Dujiangyan, remember to save it.
🚏【Let's talk about the itinerary】
D1: Arrive in Chengdu at noon ➠ Kuanzhai Alley ➠ Jinli ➠ Kuixinglou Snack Street
D2: Panda Base ➠ Daci Tea House ➠ Taikoo Li ➠ Wenshu Monastery ➠ 339 Panda Tower ➠ Dongmen Wharf ➠ Chunxi Road IFS
D3: Yangtianwo Square ➠ Wenmiao Street ➠ Dujiangyan ➠ Qingcheng Mountain ➠ Return trip
🐼【Let's talk about seeing Hua Hua】
Remember to book your tickets in advance. Pandas usually wake up at 8 am, take a nap at 11:30 am, and get up again at 2 pm
1️⃣ Enter the park at 7:30 am when it opens to see Hua Hua having breakfast
2️⃣ At 12:30 pm, queue up at the juvenile villa to wait for Hua Hua to wake up from the nap
3️⃣ PE class is not regular, it's a matter of luck
🍵【About going for tea】
▫️ Unlock the slow life of Chengdu, both 'Daci Tea House' and 'Heming Tea House' are good! Heming is usually crowded
▫️ I like to go to Daci for covered-bowl tea, a tea house hidden in the temple within the city, with a courtyard + temple + high-rise buildings in the background, offering a contrast of ancient and modern in photos
🚴【Let's talk about cycling around Chengdu】
The attractions on the second day are relatively close together, so cycling is more suitable ▫️ When I got to Taikoo Li, there was an e-bike cycling event, great for photos, with pure electric/light sport/assist modes to choose from depending on the road conditions
▫️ From Taikoo Li to Dongmen Wharf, stop wherever you want, passing through the old streets with a sense of life~
🙆🏻♂️【Some tips about the attractions】
I didn't mention places like Jiuyan Bridge, Dongjiao Memory, etc., because I'm not particularly interested, so there's no need to go
❶: There are two spots for taking photos with red walls, Wuhou Shrine ticket is 50, Wenshu Monastery ticket is 0, choose one
❷: The most worthwhile visit is Dujiangyan, the selfie-taking giant panda at Yangtianwo Square is super cute!
🍜【Let's talk about accommodation and food】
▪️ The first choice for accommodation is near Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, I always stay near the City Second Hospital subway station~ The prices here are more moderate
▪️ Foods like bobo chicken, Shuangliu rabbit head, and local hotpot are worth a try (and yes, they are really spicy)

Chengdu city's must-visit spots, you can't miss Sichuan!
Chengdu
Transportation relies on the subway🚇➕bicycles🚲 (Chengdu's subway network is very developed)
Inside Wuhou Temple is the historical culture of the Shu Kingdom from the Three Kingdoms period, where you can deeply understand the history of the Shu Kingdom. Many people go there to worship Zhuge Liang, and for friends who like taking photos📸, the garden with its red walls is very suitable for photography, you can get great shots in minutes!!!
Coming out of Wuhou Temple is Jinli Street, which is also great for strolling and eating. There are some interesting shops to visit, but the snacks in Jinli are quite expensive. Some boutique and accessory shops are worth visiting and are also good for checking in
Chengdu's Taikoo Li is also a major attraction in Chengdu, well-known to everyone, in a word, trendy! In two words, crowded! Can you believe that nearby hot pot restaurants have more than 600 tables waiting in line!!!
Taikoo Li is also great for shopping, with many brand stores, but I just browse . For photos📸, it's also good, you can take pictures of some brand store logos, which are very photogenic (recommended to go at night)
Dongjiao Memory is also a very suitable place for photography, with its industrial style architecture being quite distinctive. You can also check in at the green train, and there are many original brand clothing shops to visit, taking photos is really great!!! Recommended
Kuanzhai Alley is also similar and a place to check in, you can stroll and eat in the evening, but the food in the scenic area is really expensive (divided into Kuan Alley and Zhai Alley, but they are interconnected, you can enter through any alley!)
Chengdu is really a city that's great for food and fun, you can drink tea🍵 when you're tired during the day, and have a Sichuan hot pot meal at night! Later you can go to a tavern for a little drink and just like that, the feeling comes right up, you really can't miss Sichuan! But if you want to see beautiful scenery, you can join a tour group to Western Sichuan to experience the stunning beauty there, it's really breathtaking!!!

Wuhou Shrine in Chengdu
Wuhou Shrine originally referred to the temple dedicated to Zhuge Liang next to the tomb of Liu Bei, Hui Ling. After continuous renovations and integrations during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it eventually became an architectural complex consisting of four parts: Han Zhao Lie Temple, Wuhou Shrine, Hui Ling, and Sanyi Temple. It is under the jurisdiction of the Wuhou Shrine Museum in Chengdu and is a cultural heritage conservation area. This marks the first time in history that the cultural relics of the Three Kingdoms in Chengdu were integrated. Wuhou Shrine is located at No. 231, Wuhou Shrine Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It was founded in the first year of Zhangwu of the Shu Han dynasty (221 AD) and covers an area of 150,000 square meters. It serves as a testament to the people's affirmation and praise of the spirit of Zhuge Liang, the Prime Minister of Shu Han, who was 'devoted to the point of exhaustion, only resting upon death,' and belongs to the cultural heritage conservation area of the Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum. Historical records state: 'In the third year of Zhangwu (223 AD), the first lord passed away in Yong'an Palace... In May, the wooden palace was returned to Chengdu from Yong'an, and he was posthumously named Emperor Zhaolie. In autumn, in August, he was buried in Hui Ling.' According to Han customs, outside the ancestral temple, there was the original temple, namely Han Zhao Lie Temple. Twenty-nine years after Zhuge Liang's death, the later lord, on the advice of his ministers, 'in the spring of the sixth year of Jingyao, decreed to build a temple for Liang in Mianyang.' Mianyang, which is now Mian County, indicates that during the Three Kingdoms period, the worship of Liu Bei's tomb and Zhuge Liang's temple were in Chengdu and Shaanxi, respectively.

Chengdu, a marvelous place that blends ancient and modern, tradition and fashion. The moment I arrived in Chengdu, the bustling city atmosphere and leisurely vibe immediately surrounded us. Wuhou Shrine
After Liu Bei's death, Zhuge Liang buried him here and set up a plaque titled 'Temple of Han Zhao Lie', while Wuhou Shrine was built later by people to commemorate Zhuge Liang (Marquis Zhongwu). It was only after Wuhou Shrine was incorporated into the Temple of Han Zhao Lie that the historically unique joint temple of ruler and minister was formed. People believe that Zhuge Liang's achievements in governing Shu were so great that they are more accustomed to calling it Wuhou Shrine.
Tang Stele: The Tang Dynasty Prime Minister Wu Yuanheng established it for Zhuge Liang, describing Zhuge Liang's governance, law enforcement, military achievements, and the high praise he received from later generations.
Ming Stele: In ancient times, it was difficult to preserve the ancestral temples of old emperors, and the Ming Stele reveals why Liu Bei's ancestral temple was still preserved.
Main Hall of Han Zhao Lie Temple, Side Halls of Guan and Zhang, and Corridor of Civil and Military Officials: Legend has it that on a dark and windy night, the clay statues in Wuhou Shrine all came to life. Liu Bei, angry that his son A-Dou had handed over his kingdom, drove him out of Wuhou Shrine. Zhang Fei was also furious that his son Zhang Bao had submitted a surrender letter, so he smashed his clay statue. Therefore, there are no clay statues of A-Dou and Zhang Bao in Wuhou Shrine.
Take your time to read the Biography of the Former Lord next to the main hall to understand the real character of Liu Bei, which is different from that in 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms'.
Zhuge Liang Hall's Heart-Touching Couplets: Reflect on them, and you'll find that the workplace follows the same principles.
Hui Ling: The real tomb of Liu Bei. Captured a moment where someone paid tribute with flowers and personally wrote 'His virtue shines brightly, his actions were valiant'.
The red walls here are no less impressive than the Forbidden City: Chengdu Wuhou Shrine
The shrine covers an area of 37,000 square meters, with a building area of 9,200 square meters, and is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
Wuhou Shrine, as the only joint temple of ruler and minister in the country, the most famous memorial site for Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, and the heroes of Shu Han, and the most influential Three Kingdoms relic museum in the world, enjoys the reputation of a 'Three Kingdoms Sacred Site'.
Opening Hours
9:00-18:00, ticket sales stop at 17:00 (open on holidays)

Eternity is but a feather in the vast sky
Wuhou Shrine: Initially built during the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was originally dedicated to commemorating Zhuge Liang. Later, it became a joint temple for both the lord and his ministers. The people of Shu Han built it to honor the spirit of Chancellor Zhuge, who worked tirelessly until his death. Now, the shrine consists of four parts: the Han Zhao Lie Temple, Wuhou Shrine, Hui Ling, and Sanyi Temple.
A Tang poem says:
Holding a scroll and burning incense, I enter the temple gate, where the divine likeness of Wuhou seems alive.
By seizing opportunities, he stabilized Shu and extended the declining Han, and with strategies, he strengthened weak Sun by connecting with Wu.
Wishing to use his wisdom to topple the usurpers, he adeptly maintained loyalty and turned mediocrity into confusion.
King Xuan asked for battle, which showed his talent and breath-taking ambition.
Du Fu said:
Zhuge's great name is renowned throughout the universe, and his descendants' images are revered and lofty.
He divided the realm into three, strategizing with elegance, yet eternity is but a feather in the vast sky.
Among his peers, he was seen as on par with Yi and Lu, commanding as if determined, unlike Xiao and Cao.
The fate of the Han dynasty was hard to restore, and with resolute will, he perished from the toils of military affairs.

Wuhou Temple in Chengdu, Sichuan | Huiling, Han Zhaolie Temple, Wuhou Temple, Sanyi Temple
Chengdu Wuhou Temple is located in the southern suburbs of Chengdu, composed of Huiling, Han Zhaolie Temple, Wuhou Temple, and Sanyi Temple. It is the only temple in the country that commemorates the heroes of Shu Han such as Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei.
During the tenth to eleventh year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1671~1672), Wuhou Temple was rebuilt, forming a pattern of joint worship of the monarch and the minister with two halls in the front (Liu Bei Hall) and the back (Zhuge Liang Hall).
The Liu Bei Hall is designed as the front hall and is slightly higher, while the Zhuge Hall is designed as the main hall and is slightly lower. Although the plaque on the door is still Han Zhaolie Temple, the temple has become Wuhou, and the monarch and the minister are distinguished only by the height of the terrain.
Han Zhaolie Temple is a temple for worshipping Liu Bei, located in the middle of Wuhou Temple. Han Zhaolie Temple is divided into two halls, the front hall is Zhaolie Hall, and the back hall is Liu Bei Hall. In the Zhaolie Hall, there are statues of six famous Shu Han generals such as Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Ma Chao, and Huang Zhong. The statues are lifelike and majestic.
Wuhou Temple is a temple commemorating Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period in China. It was named after Zhuge Liang was sealed as Wuxianghou during his lifetime. Zhuge Liang was the prime minister of Shu Han, and was sealed as "Wuxianghou" during his lifetime. After his death, he was posthumously named "Zhongwu Hou" by Liu Shan, the later master of Shu Han. Therefore, his temple was historically respected as "Wuhou Temple".
In addition to Chengdu Wuhou Temple, there are also Wuhou Temples in seven places across the country, including Mian County, Wuzhangyuan, Baidi City, and Xiangyang, but the most well-known is Chengdu Wuhou Temple.
