Stayed for one night with my 3 year old, beds were super comfy, property is in the perfect location in town and across from the beach. Free breakfast with the room was amazing. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Couldn’t fault our stay.

Yea it was ok, staff and management were gr8, the rooms are a bit out dated showers are small no satellite TV or anything restaurant was closed the night I went there close to KFC and an Asian restaurant overall ok, I would stay again if I had too.

We stayed for a week as my son was visiting the University. My husband had stayed for six weeks when first arriving in WA, so had some insight. However, we ended up paying double what he did. The room was really tired, and had an adjoining door to our neighbours room (locked, but she was really sick and coughing the whole time we were there). As a result, it was really difficult to sleep, and the day before I left, I came down with the same symptoms she did. Not necessarily the hotels fault, but frustrating as I ended up sick for two weeks after leaving with the same symptoms as neighbour. Upside: close to the city (within walking distance), easy booking, easy check in. A lot of Uber Eats options available within close proximity. Also easy access to arterial route’s around the city. Downside: trip advisor pictures out of date (no pool), rooms are really tired, bathrooms even more so. Washing up has to be done in the bathroom. Rooms cleaned only once during eight day stays. Rooms adjoined to others have little to no privacy as you can hear literally everything. Parking can be challenging (we were there the weekend the Freo’s were at playing and were unable to park in the hotel car park at all). Had microwave but no cooker, so ended up buying ourselves a sandwich press for breakfast and lunches.

We had a 2 night stay at this motel. Top class motel. We were given a large room which was very clean, had a comfy bed and a nice bathroom with lovely hot shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location as we were able to walk to shops and eateries. The motel is well placed if you want to go and visit the Pinnacles. Good value for money.

What a pleasant surprise this accommodation has been. Far surpassed our expectations. The family room has a QS and large single bed. Very comfortable, good bedding with pillow choices plus extra blankets if needed. Great bathroom with bath and shower with great hot water supply. Jug, toaster and microwave plus frig. Daily room service too - bonus! We went to Bandy Creek Harbour beach where there is great sand, shallow water for the little one to play, toilet and shower plus a fish processing shop where we bought great fish to take home. So many beaches and bays to visit and places to go, shop and eat plus lots of fishing gear shops. We also visited Stone Henge which was interesting and good value and has lots of info plus a shop.

Alway treated like a valued customer, and everything is done to ensure a pleasant stay, I would and have recommended Sure Stay Hotel, Best Western the Clarence on Melville to colleagues and friends and had friends stay with you and enjoyed the experience.

Room 11 was not renovated & we felt let down. The lounge was placed at the end of the queen bed & trying to watch TV seated on the lounge resulted in having to turn one's head to see the screen high up on a side wall. Very poor room design in this regard. The shower recess was very dirty: mold on tiles & the drain needed a good dose of bleach. The towels we were given were tatty and worn - should have been disposed of years ago ! The outdoor area could have been cleaned from cobwebs and dirt . The outdoor tiles could have been cleaned as well. The figs all over the driveway were hazardous & this area should be swept on a regular basis. Likewise, the gazebo was unkempt and didn't entice one to sit there & relax. The front verge badly needed mowing and the community newspapers that were littering this area needed to be disposed of. This motel is in a beautiful position - within walking distance to the beach - but it appears that little is done to enhance the property and ensure that guests are appreciated and made to feel welcome. If the owners paid a little more attention to detail this place could be a winner. Would not return but hopefully the owners will take these suggestions on board and give the place the due care it deserves, along with their patrons.

Laundry on site. Nice bathroom with roomy shower. Lots of storage plus a safe. Clean modern decor. Close to airport (taxi about $40 but you could use public transport) and there is a bus to Perth city centre right outside (takes about 30 minutes). Lots of local shops and restaurants. If you’re travelling with a rented vehicle and you have been on the red dirt roads there is an expensive car wash next door and a cheaper one just up the road. We stayed here at the start and end of our Western Australia camping trip and it was perfect.

Location was great! Short 10min drive to frementle. Many supermarkets and eateries in the vicinity too. Room was no frills but sufficient for us, just that the freezer wasn't cold enough. We also appreciate the simple breakfast prepared by the staff. Had a great stay all in all :)

Worst place i have ever stayed entering our room i was shocked at how beyond filthy the room was i immediately went to reception to ask for my money back so i could find some where else to stay reception had closed and attempts to contact via phone went unanswered left me no other option than to stay thank goodness for early morning departure i had to buy cleaning products so we could use toliet as urine stain on lid and floor amount of hair left dust mould disgusting drinks spilled all down front door . 2 hrs it took to clean the filth from bathtub walls floors kitchen toliet fridge doors srcubbing off black mould in bathroom and around room windows we were unable to remove the odour of mould musty urine stale smoke smell thru out room no amount of glen 20 could get rid of it didn't help having skip bin and three wheelie bins over flowing with rubbish right at our door and windows there was so much wrong with this room to much to list put it this way after 2 hrs i still didn't shower plus two towels that smelt like wet dog for three guest thought i pass .i really feel the room does not get cleaned professionally it's the guests as if you don't clean room or do dishes you get charged 40 hr to clean room so all they do is change bedding and hung towels empty bins basically . I would never stay there again can't say it any other way than DO NOT STAY AT CITY WATERS

The motel is close to the beach. The photos aren't really representative of the place now, as it is tired and rundown. The staff are all friendly. There are no photos showing the car park. Most of the lovely photos are from the 'ocean view' rooms and that is the minority. The rooms are clean and fairly well equipped with fridge, kettle etc. The problem is that the manager has installed super bright lights around the motel that shine into most of the rooms. He said it's for security, but any modern camera could detect movement in low light. I had to have the blinds fully drawn which didn't darken the room. I was in room 15 and it had a connecting door which let all the talking and noise from room 14 in. There is a set of steel stairs which are noisy when anyone with shoes and heels walks up or down. Really annoying when that is 5.30 am. For a standard room, room 17 is probably better as it faces a wall and doesn't have lights directly blasting into it.

Great country style, Affordable, comfortable and in a great location, I’ll stay again. I’ve stayed before, but they’ve just rebuilt the pool/lounge area which was really lovely. My room was an upgraded room, which was worth the little extra $ and felt hotel quality. The free city cat bus nearby was useful to get to city and leave car. Thanks to the lovely lady at reception. If you are expecting 5* hotel, this is not for you, but it’s the best motel style accommodation around.

From the first contact for making a booking to booking in and checking out it was an excellent experience and all the staff so welcoming. We stayed 3 nights in a king corporate room unit 20. Our room was so comfortable, the king bed was outstanding along with the high quality pillows and beautiful soft linen. We couldn’t hear any road noise in our room and the view from the window in our room was very relaxing. Good size tv, lots of shelves and lots of storage area for our luggage, comfortable chairs, table and a sofa. Housekeeping was excellent. We had cooked breakfast in the breakfast room and it was delicious and would definitely recommend it. The pool looked very inviting shame it wasn’t the weather for a swim, hopefully the next time we stay it will be.

We had a round trip in Western Australia and spent 6 times in motels. ACE Accommodation was easily the best by far. After a dreadful experience in Esperance we entered the room at Mandala Ace Accommodation and it was like entering another world. The room was bright clean and smelling fresh. The beds were comfortable, we had the sun shining in and it felt just lovely. The shower was good and the bathroom was perfect. The layout of the room was well thought out with the single bed slightly separated from the double bed area. I will recommend anyone going to Albany to stay here for a good, well priced overnight stay, ACE was a good description!

Last time I stayed here it was a long time ago with a boyfriend who I ended up being in a very long term relationship. I have since moved to Albany and lived there before moving to other areas. Finding myself wanting to visit for a couple of days, thought I would see how it has changed. Because of my history with the region, Dog Rock has always been my first choice of accommodation, now that I have stayed there, that has not changed. For those not in the know, it is named for the dog head shaped rock that appears to be sniffing the air. It is located right across the road by a lane leading to one of the city's shopping centres containing a Woolworths, Red Dot and a Leonards Chicken and a cafe as well as other shops. It does wear a collar which in reality is a paint to make it more visible to traffic and it was classified by the National Trust in 1973. The Motel is centrally located with one direction going into town, the other taking you to the end of the road being Middleton Beach. You have a wide variety of attractions very close to you as well as having a marvellous restaurant (Lime 303) which I have eaten at and reviewed on this website, should you care to have a further read. I had a room which I was well pleased with, up the back with a rear view of the bush, in front of me on my balcony I could see Mt Melville sweeping up into the sky. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and it was quiet. There was a mini fridge with an assortment of refreshments within and a selection of tea and coffee sachets on the counter. The shower was excellent and the parking was plenty at the door. I had paid a little extra for a hot breakfast the next day which was well worth the price. (See attached pictures). There were foxtel on the tv which I enjoyed catching up on the movies I had not yet seen. The staff at reception were very personable, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone who was going to Albany to stay there.

A quick one night stay and Le Grande proved perfect . Okay a bit dated decor wise, but clean, comfortable and spacious rooms could not be faulted really. The management are well organised and very pleasant, the dining at night excellent and the breakfast very very good. We would not hesitate to recommend
