The Art Institute of Chicago

The Chicago Museum of Art was built in 1891 and is located in downtown Chicago, on the shores of Lake Michigan, and is connected by three three-story buildings. Collection of exhibits is extremely rich, mainly painting, sculpture, supplemented by architecture, photography, crafts, textiles, etc., time span from ancient Egyptian pottery in 3000 BC and even contemporary Pop art, mainly Greek, Roman, European and American art, both India, Southeast Asia, Artworks from China, Japan, Korea, Africa and the Americas can be called the Museum of the World.

Important collections include more than 30 Monet paintings, Van Gogh’s Bedroom in Al and Self-Portrait, Renoir’s Two Sisters, Paul Cézanne’s Apple Basket, and more.

Visit the European Art Museum on the second floor of the main museum. The exhibition here is the proud art collection of the Chicago Museum of Art. The front hall is mainly Impressionist and Post Impressionist works. Around the stairs, there are some sorted exhibition halls based on the age and theme. If you are likely to travel to Chicago, make sure to reserve enough time to visit the entire museum.
