Through various diversions, Chengdu has become the country of Tianfu, a land of water, and Fuze has continued into the future."Dujiangyan.Dujiangyan Scenic Area3.7 km from downtownFeatured in 2024 Global 100 - Best Things to DoHighlights: The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is located along the main branch of the Lancang River, west of Dujiangyan City. It was constructed in the Qin dynasty around 256 BC by Li Bing, Prefecture Chief of Shu County, and his son. It is one of the few ancient Chinese water conservancy projects that has remained preserved and intact. The project consists of three primary works—Yuzui Diverting Embankment, the Feishayan Spillway, and the Baopingkou Water Inlet, and two secondary works which include the Baizhangdi (the thousand-feet dam) and Renzidi (the y-shaped dam). They divide the Yongjiang River into an outer and an inner branch, the former of which is used to divert floods and the latter for irrigation. This has allowed the Western Sichuan plateau to become "the land of abundance" as we now know it.Show Less

The existing temple was built between 1862 and 1874 (the same period of the Qing Dynasty). I know everything. Xiang remembers to bring it. The mountain is 30, 60, the environment is beautiful, the history is long, like one! ! ! ! !"Dujiangyan.Qingcheng Piedmont Scenic Area11.8 km from downtownHighlights: Shangqing Palace is a Taoist temple in the Qingcheng Mountains. There are Laojun Dian, Sanqing Dian, Wenwu Dian, and Moral Classical Hall in the palace. The incense is very strong. Most tourists will burn incense and pray here. There is a viewing pavilion at the entrance of the Shangqing Palace, which is suitable for watching the sunrise.Show Less
