"Jile Temple Temple of Ultimate Happiness, located in the foothills of Baihe Mountain in Penang. In 1889, it was built by Miaolian Buddhist monk abbot of Yongquan Temple in Gushan, Fuzhou, and served as a courtyard of Yongquan Temple. In 1884, Miaolian was selected as the abbot of Yongquan Temple, and the next year he went out of the Yangyu Law. In 1887, he went to the abbot of Guangfu Palace in Penang Island. In 1889, Miaolian built a temple called Jile Temple. After five years of building, local overseas Chinese launched an expansion of the temple, and Miaolian also stepped up fundraising to all parts of Nanyang.
