I concur with previous reviewers. This attraction is fine for a fast photo opp, but not much else. A beautiful building, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.
This is a landmark building in Bandung, an old building. There are well-maintained lawns and spray pools that gush out of water outside. The photo here is also very good. You can buy cheaper clothes and some souvenirs for a stroll nearby.
Sate Building is the office building of the West Java Governor. This building has a characteristic of a skewers ornament on its central tower, which has long been a sign or landmark of Bandung City that is not only known to the people in West Java, but also the whole Indonesia even the model of the building is a sign for some buildings and signs of the city in West Java. For example, the shape of the building in front of Tasikmalaya Railway Station. This white building began to be built in 1920 and still stands solidly to this moment.
Gedung Sate, very clean location, in the middle of Bandung city. Gedung Sate, is the office building for the governor of West Java and DPRD. At the very top of the building there is an ornament of 1 skewer consisting of 6 pieces of meat (that's why it's called Gedung Sate). The building style combines Spanish, Dutch, Italian Renaissance, Asian, Balinese (Hindu), and seems similar to Borobudur Temple. If we stand in front of Gedung Sate facing outward, then we will be facing Mount Tangkuban Parahu. Inside Gedung Sate there is also a Museum, the entrance from the side which is adjacent to the Elderly Park. Reportedly open Tuesday to Friday at 10.00 - 16.00. On Sundays it is usually crowded, visited by many people who are also exercising at Taman Gasibu or just relaxing, or tourists taking photos around Gedung Sate.
Really very good, very good place, will go again in the future, really good.
