The city hall in Basel is unexpectedly beautiful. Because it was early in the city center, other attractions did not open, so I arrived at the city hall first. The history, woodwork and stained glass windows are great. Only one trip in English per week on Saturday afternoon. Very recommended. The tour group said it was 30 minutes but we ended up with a very pleasant 1 hour! Just book.

The City Hall of Basel is a Gothic building with Gothic colours. The reddish-brown exterior walls are particularly gorgeous. The murals left over from the Middle Ages are very beautiful. The square pavement under the city hall is very old with green bricks.
