Among the many historical buildings in Jakarta, the Youth Pledge Building on Jalan Kramat Raya, No. 106, Central Jakarta holds the most important events in the history of Indonesian independence.Basically the Youth Pledge Museum is a boarding house for young people in Batavia (old Jakarta). This student boarding house originally belonged to Sie Kong Liong and became the site of the Indonesian Student Association (PPPI).The Youth Pledge Building was used by young people until 1934, and changed its function several times, namely as a residence, flower shop, hotel and office. And it was taken over by the government to become the Youth Pledge Museum in 1973, and inaugurated by President Soeharto in 1974.In 2013 the main building of the Youth Oath Museum Building was designated as a National Rank Cultural Heritage Building, through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 254/M/2013 dated December 27, 2013.Perhaps without youth associations at that time, independence would not have happened. Youth from time to time have their own responsibilities. Like today's youth who must be able to become fighters both for themselves, the environment and the country.Recommended Youth Oath Museum, neat and well organized. Good lights and lighting.
