Temple of the Six Banyan Trees

Liuyan Temple is located in Wenyuan Lane Community, Liuyan Street, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It was built in the Liu Song Yuanjia Year (420-479) in the Southern Dynasty, and was originally called Baozheng Temple. In 675 AD, Wang Bo left the text of "Guangzhou Baoyan Temple Sheli Tower" when he passed through Guangzhou. In Nanhan, he was renamed Changshou Temple. Song Taizong Duan Gong was renovated in the second year (989) and renamed Jingci Temple. The Song Dynasty was renamed as the current name. Song Yuanfu three years (1100), Su Yu came to visit and wrote the book "Six Six", and the successors carved stone in the temple, and then changed to "Six Six Temple". The area is 1.35 10,000 square meters, there are six flower towers, the pagoda is a pagoda, the plane is octagonal, sitting north facing south, the appearance is 9 levels, each two levels of dark layer, light and dark total 17 floors. The pagoda contains thousands of Buddha statues, also known as thousands of Buddha towers. There are also six ancestors of the master of the bronze statue, "six gong" and other historical relics and monuments in the temple. Every month, the first and fifteenth lunar calendars, Buddha birthdays, bathing Buddha festivals, Guanyin birthdays, there are large land and water law clubs, prayers and other activities. In the early years of the Republic of China, the eucalyptus trees were planted and the pavilion was built to commemorate Su. In 1980, the flower tower and the six ancestors hall were rebuilt, and the pagoda was expanded; in 1983 and 1987, the grand majesty palace and the Guanyin palace were rebuilt; and the Tibetan Jingge was built in 1993. Liuyan Temple is an ancient building with historical, artistic and scientific value, with rich historical information and deep cultural connotation.

The temple cannot burn incense, only point nine centimeters long line incense, the temple can be purchased, or the lamp can be used for flowers. The famous flower tower of Liuyan cannot be up now. Fortunately, I went up when I was a child, haha! The temple is not big, there are Daxiong Temple, Guanyin Temple, Liuzu Hall, and Buyu Pavilion to worship Buddha. Guangzhou Liuyan Temple was originally called Baozheng Temple, and it was renamed Changshou Temple in the fifth generation and ten countries. The temple has a six-ancestral temple in the Huaiyin Garden, which serves as a bronze statue of the sixth generation of Zen ancestors, Huineng. The six-ancestral temple was founded by the distinguished monks of the Tang Dynasty. His bronze statue was cast in the second year of the Northern Song Dynasty Duangong (989), with a solemn and lifelike appearance.
