This is the first women's monastery in Japan, and there are still nuns living a monastic life here. The red brick building of the monastery is fresh and chic, and there are sculptures such as the statue of the Virgin, giving people the impression of holiness. The place where the nuns really live is not allowed to enter, only to visit the periphery, the European-style building is very suitable for filming, and finally in the library can buy some souvenirs and handmade biscuits made by the nuns.

There is a bus to Trabis Girls' Monastery in front of Hakodate Station. The bus "Hakodate Airport" to "North Exit of Yugawa Tuandi". The monastery is about 10 kilometers from the city, 30 minutes by car, and about 15 minutes after getting off the bus. In 1898, eight nuns from France founded the monastery, and there are still nuns in the inner practice. This is also the first female monastery in Japan. The abbey autumn and winter scenery is different. This is a special scenery and there are not many tourists. It feels good to come here. I come once in autumn and winter. If I go to Hakodate in different seasons next time, I will go again!

The monastery is very quiet and has the style of a European town. There is a park next to it, remember to buy ice cream, super delicious.
