In 2015, the new Inner Mongolia Art Museum was re-selected, and the construction of the key project for the 70th anniversary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was started. On September 31, the main project was capped, and the museum was officially opened on August 4, 2017, and it was opened for free to the community.
