The area of Jianchang Temple is very large, and the three gates of the mountain gate are also super spectacular. All of them are supported by wood, which makes people think of the construction method of the Qingshui stage without a nail. The temple features the Buddha of the Tibetan king, the 1000-handed Guanyin, and the ascetic statue of Sakya, a cultural heritage from Pakistan. The dragon king map on the patio is painted by Koizumi, a painter with the ssangyong map of Kininji Temple in Kyoto. Although the statue and the building itself are made of wood, there is a very noble and solemn atmosphere.

Kamakura Jianchang Temple, the main monastery of the Linji Zongjian Chang Temple, ranks first among the five monasteries in Kamakura. The building is distributed in a central symmetry, the main gates, three gates, the temple, the Fatang, the abbot and other main buildings in a straight line, and ten pagodas surround it, the scale is large, and the Zen is strong. Founded in 1253, Jianchang Temple was the original Zen special Taoist venue in Japan, when the high monk Lanxi Daolong was invited from China as his Kaishan ancestor, and still retains the Chinese Zen architectural style. The monastery also has a national treasure, the light colored Lanxi Daolong statue and an important cultural heritage wooden paint-painted Sumi Temple, which is very precious.
It takes ten minutes to walk from Enoshima Electric Railway Kamakura Station. Jianchang Temple is the original Zen specialization of Japan, founded in 1253 by the fifth generation of Kamakura Shogun, the Japanese regent. When it was founded, it invited the high monk Lanxi Daolong from China as its master of the mountain. The preservation is very intact, especially the architecture and Buddha statues in the temple, simple and intact, complementing the surrounding environment, making you seem to return to that long-term era.
