The Ximing Temple in Banshanba is one of the three Siamese Buddhist temples in Klang Valley and is also a meeting place for the Siamese people. When you come to the entrance of Ximing Temple, you will be particularly conspicuous by guarding the two golden beasts at the gate of the Buddha Temple. Entering the inside, you can see that the temple building itself is an octagonal pagoda, so it is also known as the "Octagonal Temple".
The temple is a small temple with Thai and Chinese influences in its architecture, completed in 1957. The roof has a hexagonal structure with a spire painted striking golden yellow. At the gate there are a pair of glittering giant lizard statues, as guards, inside six main Buddha statues and outside many more.
Every Sunday, Siamese living in KL come to worship and perform dinners, Thai, dance and other activities. The annual Vesak Festival and Songkran Festival are the most lively days in Ximing Temple. Vesak Festival is the day of the Buddha's birth, enlightenment and nirvana. The water splashing festival is to go to the old and welcome the new, splashing and washing the day.
I won't regret it, I will look back.
It is a beautiful Buddhist temple. Another one in Kuala Lumpur.
