Palace can only be viewed from the outer. Architecture is very unique and filled with Islamic element. The public is only allowed to enter and visit on special holidays, but these occasions change every five years when there is a new monarch. On the day we visited, we learned that the yellow flag was raised high in the central palace, indicating the monarch was still inside. We also happened to witness the changing of the guard ceremony.

The new National Palace in Kuala Lumpur is the residence of Malaysian monarch Yang Di-Paltu Agung, located in the northwest of Kuala Lumpur. The palace opened in 2011 and replaced the old National Palace in different complexes in the center of Kuala Lumpur.

Although you cannot enter the castle, you can enjoy the beauty of the architecture and the beautiful landscape around it. Be sure to take time to take pictures in front of the main gate and enjoy the magnificent view.
