Kyoto's Arashiyama can be so beautiful in winter too!
Good morning! Today is another day full of energy~
I had breakfast at the hotel early in the morning and am ready to go to Kyoto!
Speaking of which, living in Nagoya, it's really convenient to travel to Kyoto! It only takes about 34 minutes by Shinkansen.
And there are quite a few benefits: if you encounter the tourist season in Kyoto and Osaka, the cost performance of hotels in Nagoya will be very high.
In addition, if you enter from Chubu International Airport, you can perfectly avoid airports with particularly dense crowds, and the journey will be more comfortable. So, let's play in Kyoto with Mengmeng today!
🦊AKANEYA Hand-painted fox mask experience
I used to see fox masks in anime often, especially the mask in 'The Forest of Fireflies' left a deep impression on me.
I've always been thinking, when can I have my own unique fox mask?
This time I came to Kyoto and booked an experience on the 2nd floor of Kyoto Tower.
There are two masks to choose from, I chose the larger one, and created on the spot
Inspiration: the cat's head at home + rosemary, Japanese maple, etc. planted in the yard, I quite like it!
In the afternoon, I can take the fox mask I painted to travel in Arashiyama!
🥗Pickled vegetable isoism
Kyoto people really like to eat pickles, this is not just a hobby of the elderly, local young girls also like to go to some very fashionable pickle shops for dinner. This whole small house located on the west of Karasuma Shichijo is a pickle specialty store.
The store is full of various vegetable pickles from Kyoto, the plating is particularly cute and girly.
The small paper pad on the table hand-drawn the benefits of each pickle: for example, mushroom 'plump prevention', pumpkin 'immune UP'.
A variety of pickles with rice, nutritious and healthy.
🍁Arashiyama
Although it's not the season of colorful autumn leaves, Arashiyama in winter also has a unique temperament.
Last month I posted a crazy exclamation 'Romantic to death' of Yosai Pavilion, this month I came again, hh.
I really love the room of Yasunari Kawabata in Yosai Pavilion and the terrace of dyed cloth. Order a cup of matcha with red leaves and snacks here, quietly appreciate the scenery of Arashiyama, and feel the passage of time.
Unconsciously, I played in Kyoto until it got dark, and I have to return to Nagoya!
Tomorrow, my friends and I plan to travel to Shirakawa-go, a place I've wanted to go for a long time!
Moreover, it's quite convenient to go to Shirakawa-go from Nagoya, and it won't take too long on the road.
So, look forward to my guide tomorrow!

Beautiful landscapes west of Kyoto with a few landmarks to visit such as the Togetsukyo bridge and the bamboo groves and the restaurants and shops selling traditiona Japanesel snacks and motcha sweets. A lovely half day promenade to enjoy the area. Stop by a coffee shop or an outlet to taste traditional milk flavoured and motcha flavoured ice creams! A lot of nice souvenir pictures to take!
to be honest, it is rather cold to go there (@arashiyama) in winter, nevertheless, we have fun to walk along the area for sightseeing, if you like to understand the culture or visit temples, it is highly recommended to travel to there, btw, we stayed at the Hyatt place Kyoto hotel, we may not recommend this hotel to others as the room is tiny and the breakfast is not so impressive, also the customer service is poor …
Located in the northwestern area of Kyoto, Arashiyama draws many visitors for its world-renowned bamboo grove but I actually love more the cafes and the walks among the river. There are a lunch and hot springs hut in the middle between two train lines. Another spot I really enjoyed was Ex-cafe where offers a self-grilled ‘odango’ set comes with Macha ❤️
The station is very easy to find, the small train quacka party is a bit noisy, there are more caves ... but the scenery along the road is very good and beautiful. Very artistic. Satisfied 👍
The electronic code can be used directly, which is convenient for ~ If you book a small train in the same direction, it is recommended to visit the scenic spot first, take it, and don't have to go back.
Sakura season and maple leaf season in Busan, Japan are worth seeing. Busan small train tickets must be booked in advance. Sometimes you can't buy tickets on the spot, and there are fewer trains every hour. On April 9, the ticket was full before 3 o'clock on the day. Fortunately, I booked in advance on Trip.com. It is convenient to scan the electronic QR code directly into the station without changing tickets.
The scenery is very good. The atmosphere of the whole scenic spot is quiet and has a feeling of isolation. It is best to come here in the cherry blossom season or the red leaf season. The scenery will be more beautiful, of course, there will be more tourists. We went in winter, but unfortunately there was no snow full of brown eyes, there were not many people, the experience was average.
The team accounted for 4 points and 3 minutes, and many games were queued for more than an hour and experienced three minutes. It’s completely addictive, Spider-Man is good, the front row experience of the little yellow person is very good, I want to brush it twice more, but it’s too late. There are too many people to be a little low cost performance, and I don’t feel too much fun at all.
