Shisendo Jozan-ji

Shixiantang is a great place to enjoy cherry blossoms in Kyoto in spring and maple in autumn. Just in Zuokyo District, Kyoto City. The picturesque scenery and elegant exquisiteness make people linger. Very worth a visit.

Shixiantang is a very artistic courtyard in Kyoto. Typical Kyoto gardens. The artistic conception of the unity of nature and people is reflected everywhere. Sitting in the corner of the courtyard is finely smelled. Or it is more flavorful to come in the light rain.

This is one of my favorite temple gardens in Kyoto. The garden is on the smaller side but the design is exquisite and the ground is kept cleverly. We toured 15 gardens throughout the trip. If you only have time to visit a garden in Kyoto, I would recommend Shixiantang. It is really incredibly beautiful and away from the paths that are often trampled.

It's a quiet little courtyard. It's a short walk from the bus stop. The courtyard inside is very unique. It's trimmed into spherical trees. There are portraits of many Chinese poets in the room. You can sit on the tatami and enjoy the scenery of the garden quietly. Nearby is the shrine of Miyamoto Musashi and the remains of his duel.

This place is a courtyard with the theme of displaying Chinese poets. There is a room that is a bit full of portraits of the most representative poets in China's various periods. I think it is more proud to be Chinese, and its scenery.
