The Church of St. Austin, Macau is a historic Catholic church founded in 1591 by Spanish monks. We also came to this church to see during our tour of Macau's monuments. The original building of St. Austin was very simple, when the monks covered the roof with sunflower leaves to cover the wind and rain. Whenever the wind blows, the flying sunflower leaves are like dragons to stand up, so the Chinese commonly call it the "Longxu Temple". Now that the church has been built into a formal Western-style building, we can still imagine the original simple scene. Inside the church, the magnificent altar is in stark contrast to the ancient walls. The church also contains 16th-century stone carvings and tombstones of early monks, which are recorded in Latin. Standing in the old "Longxu Temple", thoughts drift into time and space hundreds of years ago. The Austinians, who were then, preached the gospel on this Macau land with a firm faith, and now this church has become a witness to this religious history.

St. Austin Church (commonly known as Gangding St. IgrejadeSaoAgostinho), located in front of the Gangding of Macau, is part of Macau's historic city. The Church of St. Austin was founded by Spanish friars in 1591. The church was originally built very simple, and the priests covered the roof with sunflower leaves to cover the wind and rain; Whenever the wind blows, the sunflower leaves fly with the wind, the Chinese look far away, feel that this scene like the dragon must erect, called the church "Longxu Temple", and then in Cantonese to change to "Longxu Temple". After the church was rebuilt in 1874, it forms today's scale. The church's annual two-day cruising of the Statue of Jesus, which has a history of more than 400 years, is one of the important festivals of the Catholic Church in Macau. In 2005, it was included in the World Heritage List as part of the historic city of Macau.
