Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish - Barasoain Church

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish known by many as the Barásoain Church is a Roman Catholic church built in 1888 in the City of Malolos, Bulacan.Being the site of the First Philippine Congress which convened on September 15, 1898 to draft what would become the Malolos Constitution, it earned the title as the "Cradle of Democracy in the East". Its historical significance among Filipinos made the Barásoain Church as one of the most important churches in the Philippines.

 were amazed how beautiful the place was preserved and kept up to the present time. It was so easy to find in Malolos, Bulacan and there was ample parking space within its patio. We were there at noon time and the first we went to was its Adoracion chapel since the front church doors were closed. But the church was open through its right side garden entrance doors. You get to feel how old the church was once inside and it was a solemn place to meditate and pray and lastly have some souvenir shots. God's house was awesome. There were security personnel manning their posts at the gates and church maintenance staff at work who would answer any of your queries.

Barasoain Church is one of the most important religious structure in the Philippines. This church is also known as the “Cradle Democracy in the East”. Barasoian Church is also renowned for its architectural design and internal adornments. I love this place.
