Good musicals!
We always enjoy the shows here. It is a nice theatre with quality musical productions. The cast are always energetic. Parking and driving around the Third Ward can be trying but the last time we lucked out. It was a Sunday night and we found a parking spot in front of the entrance and it was free parking. During the intermission, the line for snacks and drinks were slow and only had a few selections. Then we had to hurry and drink up because food is not allowed inside the theatre.

Wonderful show; excellent theater!
We were delighted with the seats and amenities at the Skylight Music Theater, well situated in the historic third ward. The theater is small, so our orchestra, last row seats were perfect for viewing the amazing production by Dennis DeYoung of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The set was well done with large moveable sets to represent the town, the cathedral and the amazing bells. The theater must have excellent backstage production facilities because this show should be headed for Broadway! Enjoyed the upstairs bar and restaurant. They had free delicious cookies at half-time! Overall the probably volunteer ushers were kind and helpful; they just need to remember not to chat during a production, as we were in the last orchestra row and could hear them. Lovely theater, great size so you can see the actor's facial expressions and feel part of the production. We loved The Hunchback of Notre Dame and were delighted to meet a few of the actors after the production was over. Dennis De Youngs music was excellent and I had to go back and review the lyrics of his Styx hits from the 70's! Lovely theater! Take in a production!

Great Performances
The Skylight offers great entertainments. The theatre is comfortable, we always enjoy going to the restaurant and bar upstairs for the pre-show meal. We saw Newsies and the talent was great.
