Egyptian Pyramids | At this moment, history is right before my eyes
| At this moment, history is right before my eyes.
In the 9th century, when Arabs entered Egypt, they said, 'Men fear time, yet time fears the pyramids.' The Great Pyramid of Khufu was once the tallest structure in the world, standing tall over humanity for four thousand years.
One should visit the Egyptian pyramids at least once in a lifetime, for they are grander and more mysterious than any textbook could convey.
📍Entrance hours: 8:00-16:30, no entry after 16:00. Starting from the East Gate, you will face the Sphinx and the pyramids right away.
Ticket price: 540 EGP. Payment must be made by card, cash is not accepted! Bring your visa card! It is recommended to go as early as possible, as it is generally not too hot in the morning and you can avoid large crowds.
🔹Ignore those who greet you, offer camel rides, or to take photos for you. This can prevent any unnecessary interactions and help, as there are countless scammers in Egypt, with half of them in the pyramid area.
🔸If you want to ride a camel or a horse-drawn carriage, make sure to ask for the price clearly, confirm whether it's for a one-way or round trip, and to avoid mid-way price increases, pay at the end. For reference, the three of us paid a total of 360 Egyptian pounds for a round trip to the viewing point by horse-drawn carriage.
🔹It gets very hot starting from noon, so make sure to bring sun protection and drinking water for hydration.
🔹It is suggested to wear a post-apocalyptic style or brightly colored flowing long dress for the perfect atmosphere.
📸Photo spots:
1️⃣Front view of the Sphinx + pyramid scene, located not far from the entrance of the East Gate.
2️⃣Background of the Great Pyramid, to the right-hand side of the Sphinx, where there are some piles of stones. It's great for taking photos whether you're standing or sitting.
3️⃣Panoramic View of the Pyramids: 'Nine pyramids in a row' viewing point, which is quite a walk. You can ride a camel or a horse-drawn carriage to get there~
went close to sunset and rode some camels and horses the pyramids themselves are amazing to see but the place is overcrowded with hustlers trying to make money so hard to take it all in hence the reason we went later in the day it’s more calmer and peaceful
it was the most amazing moment when we saw the Giza Pyramids, they are so beautiful and great
Must see, walking among historical features dating thousands of years.
The people of the pyramid countries are amazing, they simply look down on what America, Australia, in their eyes Egypt is the world's oldest country, Egyptians are the world's most noble people. Everyone who has been to the pyramids in Egypt knows that there is nothing to see except the pyramids on the banks of the Nile in the desert, and that if it were not for the fame, it would not have attracted so many people who are admired by the world. In particular, it is said that people who have entered the pyramid will encounter evil and die suddenly, adding to the mystery of the pyramid. Up to the top of the pyramid is not only a fee, but also a iron ladder similar to China's upper house, which is also steep, because it is narrow, so it is not scary. The tombs are displayed in museums in the city or in the showroom of "a country", and look, it is the cemetery (that is, a tomb). The most famous sphinx is outside the pyramid, which is basically understood to be a three-dimensional tombstone, but a statue of the dead. The most widely circulated in the world is this statue, the owner is serious, the five officials are correct, the vision ahead, giving people a firm, willful reverie, so, in the world, any travel book, history book without his "fragrant" photo, can hardly be called "original". This is called fame, and here I finally understand what fame is.
The pyramids seen in the books are finally seen! It’s good to follow the tour guide, not tired, and take us to the viewing platform of the three pyramids, and tell us some lightning protection matters in advance: don’t talk to those who take the initiative to talk to you, teach you to take pictures, they will finally care for you to tip, just ignore them! The pyramid can enter the interior, but our tour guide said there was nothing inside, tired and expensive, I suggest we don't go! We listened to the tour guide and didn't go inside.
great seeing it in real life. very majestic and huge! many people so come early in the morning
The hot spot of traveling to Egypt is undoubtedly the Khufu Pyramid. I believe that everyone has seen this or the pyramid on various news software. I don't feel like I need to introduce more. This is one of the seven wonders of the world and a world cultural heritage. It's a thing to come to Egypt and visit.
