🗺️Jiufen and Shifen One-Day Tour Route

🎡Strategies for Each Attraction
✅Yin Yang Sea
Depart from Taipei in the morning and head to Yin Yang Sea. The bay's water is yellowish-brown due to minerals, creating a stark contrast with the open sea. It's very noticeable when the weather is good.
⏰Operating Hours: 24 hours
📍Address: Yin Yang Sea, Ruifang District, New Taipei City
✅Golden Waterfall
Like the Yin Yang Sea, it's a natural landscape formed due to the minerals in the Jiufen area.
⏰Operating Hours: 24 hours
📍Address: Golden Waterfall, Gold Water Highway, Ruifang District, New Taipei City
✅Gold Museum
We spent a long time here. The kids loved this attraction. I've written a note about it before, remember to participate in the gold panning and tunnel experience, you can really find gold! You can have a rib lunch box at the miner's canteen here at noon, it's really delicious!
⏰Operating Hours: Monday to Friday: 09:30-17:00
Weekends and Holidays: 09:30-18:00
📍Address: No. 8, Jinguang Road, Ruifang District, New Taipei City
✅Jiufen Old Street
A must-visit attraction in Taiwan. There are many traditional snacks: Jiufen taro balls, grass cakes. There are also many souvenirs and gifts. You can also visit various teahouses for tea and rest. Think twice before bringing small children, there are too many steps.
⏰Operating Hours: 8:00-22:00
📍Address: Jishan Street, Ruifang District, New Taipei City
✅Houtong Cat Village
Our two kids loved it here. There are many cats, and they are not afraid of people. You can buy cat food to feed them. There are also many coffee shops and snack bars nearby. There is also a coal museum in the back, which is free to visit.
⏰Operating Hours: 24 hours
📍Address: Houtong Station, Ruifang District, New Taipei City
✅Shifen Sky Lanterns
There are three places to launch sky lanterns: Shifen Station, Pingxi Station, and Jingtong Station. Shifen Station tends to be more crowded, Jingtong Station has fewer people, no need to queue, and there is a sky lantern museum to visit. In addition to launching sky lanterns, Pingxi Station also has an old street to stroll.
📍Addresses:
Shifen Station: No. 51, Shifen Street, Pingxi District
Pingxi Station: No. 12, Zhonghua Street, Pingxi District
Jingtong Station: No. 52, Jingtong Street, Pingxi District
excellent scenery at night!! lots of food varieties and souvenirs. loads of stairs so much sure you are fit and wear appropriate attires.
Most photogenic and quaint town I have ever been! Very historical and walkable
Taiwan Jiufen, once went to the place where I wanted to go, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, slowly feel the enthusiasm of the Taiwanese people. During the day, there are many photos of Jiufen on the street. Slowly feel the culture of Jiufen. You can go to the old street at night. Jiufen is still the birthplace of taro round. At night, you can go to the old street and eat a bowl of bean curd. This sense of comfort and relaxation is unfeelable in the city.
Even the first day of the holiday trail, because I trusted the navigation of google map, the result was in the mountain trail in Keelung, I couldn't find the flower trail I wanted to go, only on the mountain road of the lost, I saw the oil flowers floating.
In the evening, one hour by bus from Mototaka. Sunset 〜 The best time in the evening. If you want to relax without worrying about the return bus or train, it seems better to take an inn. I saw a lot of signboards saying guest houses, so maybe there are other options other than hotels. Locals can't come unless there are few tourists (too crowded), so it's a chance to be vacant! #Kubin #Kufen #Superb view #Winter trip #Taiwan
The old street in Jiufen (Jiufen Old Street, Jiufen) is the main tourist street in the old town, where both sides are full of local shops in the atmosphere of old houses and buildings such as teahouses, souvenir shops, snacks and food shops. Especially Jiufen specialty snacks such as Bua Loi Taro, ancient fish ball and silk roti There will be a red lamp on the top of the road that is steep slopes and steps as well. In this zone, you can see a teahouse that is lined up with wooden buildings, just like in a beautiful picture. until it was inspired to the famous Animation movie from Studio Ghibli, Spirited Away.
