The Kurss mouth is separated from the Gulf of Kurs and the Baltic Sea, which is 98 km long, of which Lithuania is 52 km long and Russia Kaliningrad is 46 km long. The widest of the mouth is about 3,800 meters, the narrowest is only 400 meters, the only gap is at the northern end, only about 500 meters wide.
