Jiangbei Catholic Church

Ningbo Jiangbei Catholic Church is a key protection unit of cultural relics in Zhejiang Province, located on the north bank of Sanjiangkou, Ningbo City. The church was built in the 11th year of Qing Tongzhi and the 25th year of Guangxu to build a bell tower. The architectural style is Gothic.

The Jiangbei Catholic Church in Ningbo was built in 11 years in Tongzhi, and was built by the French bishops of Zhejiang Diocese. The church is a typical Gothic-style building and is a key cultural relics protection unit in the country, with high historical, cultural and artistic values.

On the north bank of Ningbo Sanjiangkou, there is a magnificent ancient building, which is the most famous Catholic Church in Ningbo. Jiangbei Catholic Church was built during the Qing Guangxu period and was built by French priests. It is currently a key cultural relics protection unit in the country.

The church was built by the French bishop of Zhejiang Diocese. The clock tower was built in Qingguangxu in 25 years (1899). The whole clock tower (including the Qin room) consists of the lobby, the Episcopal Office, the parish and the bedroom, the dressing room, the library, the mother church, the printing study and so on. The church bell tower is in gothic style. Due to its well preserved, it was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. Unfortunately, on July 28, 2014, the church was caught in an unexplained fire, and the roof was burned down.
