Liu Shaoqi's hometown scenic spot is located in Huaminglou Town, Ningxiang City, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is a memorial scenic spot for display, publicity, collection, protection and research of Liu Shaoqi. The scenic spots include the former residence of Comrade Liu Shaoqi, the memorial hall, the bronze statue square, the cultural relics museum and Huaminglou, the Xiuyang Pavilion, and the Wandeding.

Liu Shaoqi's former residence is located in Tanzi Chong, Huaming Building, Ningxiang City, Hunan Province. On November 24, 1898, Liu Shaoqi was born here and spent his childhood and teenage years here. The former residence is in a courtyard house with thatched fence gates. For the civil structure, the mud brick wall is whitewashed with clam shell mud, and the roof is half a small green tile and half a thatch. There is a clear pond in front of the door, and the mountain is behind the house. After Liu Shaoqi went to Changsha to study in 1916, he went home in winter and summer vacation. In May 1961, he lived here for a week while returning to his hometown for research work. During the Cultural Revolution, his former residence was destroyed. It was restored in 1980. The bedroom, study, and the Hengtang house where the survey meeting was held were displayed in hundreds of physical objects and photos, which were reopened to the outside world for people to visit. In 1959, the Hunan Provincial People's Committee announced that the former residence of Tanzi Chong Liu Shaoqi was a key cultural relics protection unit at the provincial level, and issued the wooden red bottom gold word the forehead of Comrade Liu Shaoqi hanging on the trough door . In the same year, the former residence of Tanzi Chongwuchang was opened to the outside world. In 1961, the public canteen was dissolved and the housing of the members was crowded. In February 1980, the Fifth Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China completely rehabilitated Zhaoxue for Liu Shaoqi's grievance. The Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Ningxiang County Party Committee immediately repaired the former residence and collected scattered cultural relics. The local people have contributed materials. On March 5, the former residence was opened to the public. In the winter of 1982, Deng Xiaoping, chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China, wrote: "Comrade Liu Shaoqi's former residence".
