南蛮文化会館南蛮文化とは、戦国時代から安土桃山時代にかけて起こった文化で、この時期に盛んとなったヨーロッパとの貿易とキリスト教宣教師によるカトリック伝道に伴うヨーロッパの文化が日本に入ってきた文化の事です。日本の歴史史上はじめてのヨーロッパや西洋人との接近によって生まれた文化とされ、日本人が初めて国際社会に触れた時期といえます南蛮文化の際に日本に伝わった物としては、鉄砲とキリスト教、油絵、銅版画、地球儀、機械時計、西洋楽器（オルガン、クラヴォ、ヴィオラ）などが挙げられます。また、西洋の服(＝洋服)がはじめて伝わったのもこの時期にあたります。
