The interior is characterized by its harmonious proportions and includes beautiful marble flooring and intricate patterns on the walls.
Entering the Pantheon, I was enveloped by a sense of ancient grandeur and architectural mastery. The sunlight filtering through the oculus illuminated the vast interior, highlighting the intricate details of the marble columns and mosaic-adorned floor. As I gazed upwards, the dome soared above, a marvel of engineering that seemed to touch the heavens. Exploring the niches and alcoves, each housing statues of Roman gods and emperors, I felt transported back in time to the height of the Roman Empire. The atmosphere was serene yet awe-inspiring, with every corner revealing a new facet of its storied past. Exiting into the bustling streets of Rome, I carried with me a profound appreciation for the Pantheon’s beauty and history, a day etched in my memory as a testament to human creativity and ingenuity.
It was closed by the time we went. June has a lot of tourists, but it was ok. The Pantheon is one of those sites you should see even if you have no interest. It’s imposing and stately. Impossible to not feel respect.
truly amazing architecture. the entrance fee is 5 euro and you can get your ticket right at the kiosk machine on the spot. it’s a long queue but you will get it to your turn in 15minutes!
Another highlight of visit to Italy. Uniquely designed and optically designed to enhance the ambiance. The engravings on the wall manifests the creativity and magnificence. superb experience
An amazing ancient structure in the centre of Rome, the Pantheon was amazing to see, especially being juxtaposed surrounded by the modern city.
