Pangu Temple

The Pangu Temple was built in the fifteenth year (1278) of the Yuan Dynasty and was rebuilt in the Hongzhi and Chongzhen years of the Ming Dynasty. It was rebuilt in the southwest of the Qiu Temple in the twenty-seventh year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1688) due to the erosion of the river, and there are inscriptions on it. According to documentary records and folklore, the Pangu Temple at that time was shaped like the three halls of the Forbidden City in Beijing, with stone, brick and wood structures, glazed tile roofs, splendid and magnificent. The front hall is three feet and six feet high, symbolizing 360 days in a year; the steps are 18 steps, which is the theory of 18 levels of hell; there are 108 flying eaves and rafters, clothed according to 36 heavens and 72 grounds; each rafter is tied with a copper bell, according to the workmanship , Shang, Jiao, Zheng and Yu are placed with five tones, and there is a saying that "the wind rattles the sky and moves the music, and the top of the hall shines brightly".
