#2023TravelWish #vianasjourney Cameron is no doubt is a beautiful place, fresh air, cool breeze and warm sunlight sure can take away that stress you get from hectic city life. But as a tourist with no personal transportation, its a little bit expensive to move around. As far as I know, no public transportation available that can bring you to attractions around. There’s a taxi but they charge you hourly and you have minimum hour you can take with them. Per hour they charge RM30 with minimum 3 hours. To visit at least 3 attractions within that time is really impossible. Half day package are very limited and I couldnt get any slot for 3 people.

Stayed at this gorgeous British cottage called Bala’s Holiday Chalet in Cameron Highland, the ambience is amazing and feels like you’re somewhere in English countryside. This place is a former British boarding school during the colonial period and then was bought by Mr. Bala. If you want to experience the English countryside without going to England, so don’t miss out this beautiful place. The price is not expensive, it’s not far from the only bus terminal in Cameron highland and their scones are the best.#cameronhighland #Balasholidaychalet

#2023travelwish My most unforgettable vacation in 2022 was definitely at Cameron Highlands. There's so many tourist attractions we visited and my kids were really enjoyed their time here. From staying at the highest peak from sea levels hotel at CH, to visiting tea plantations and then went to strawberry farm to eat cool desserts like ice cream waffle, strawberry teh tarik, strawberry cheesecake cake and strawberry sundae. Time well spent here. It's not really cold during daytime but it'd become so cold at night with the temperature dropped to 13°c. 🥶 ❄️ 📝 My wish for next year 2023 is to travel to Sabah Land Below The Wind. Getting There - medium bcs of the road Attractions - very good and have more attraction. Hotels - easy to find, so many hotels to choose Food & Restaurants - medium, not so much food and restaurant for lunch and dinner Shopping - medium, more to attraction. Basically, cameron highlands is the best for family vacation. but not for weekend. people who wanna bring old people better find another place bcs later need to have a long q. but for newlywed, suitable for honeymoon. its a great place, very recommend 👍 its a nice place for ootd and experience for cold weather. not so cold but different as usual. go try yours! #cameronhighlands

As one of the country’s most fertile agricultural spots, possessing all the right attributes for growing outstanding tea, and is situated over 5,000 feet above sea level on the main mountain range of Malaysia. Places visited : 🍀BOH Tea Plantation cafe, Sungai Palas, chill my day with cup of tea & cake, admiring the magnificent tea gardens view. Beside that, there is a tea retail store offers a huge variety flavours of tea, get some for your own or as souvenirs. 🍓Strawberry farm, Cameron highlandfs have a lots of strawberry farms. you will have hard time to choose which one to go. 🍀Mossy Forest is a lush area in the highland forest where moss has encapsulated the landscape of Mount Brinchang, the chilly and moist atmosphere for exotic plants such as moss, ferns & spices. #mountainview#staycation

The Cameron Highlands is a highland situated at about 150 kilometers North of Kuala Lumpur, and about 20 km. east of the city Ipoh. Because of its high location it is cooler (about 25 C, but sometimes below 20 C) than the rest of Malaysia. The highlands are named after William Cameron, a British expedition leader. He discovered the location during an expedition in 1885. From that moment onward the Cameron Highlands got increasingly interesting for the British. Because of the perfect climate it was very suitable for cultivating tea, and the Cameron Highlands soon grew out to be the biggest tea region of Malaysia.In past times English colonists settled at the Cameron Highlands mainly because the climate resembled the English climate better. Because of this hotels around Cameron Highlands often have colonial characteristics. They soon discovered the area was great for cultivating tea, which is why tea plantations dominate the scenery. The highlands are quite popular among tourists that want to see yet another side of Malaysia; a side where you can walk for hours in the cool climate. Attractions in Cameron Highlands The region is characterized by extensive tea plantations. People mostly come to Cameron Highlands to escape the heat and to do some beautiful walks. Besides the tea plantations there are also the following attractions: Mossy Forest, Rafflesia tour, strawberry farm, rose gardens, a Chinese temple, a cactus valley and vegetable gardens. Please avoid places where insects or animals are kept; as they are often in pretty bad shape (for example the butterflies at the Butterfly Farm are kept in poor conditions). At weekends you can visit the night market in the evenings. Here locals buy their ingredients, fresh meat, fish and also vegetables and fruit. Tourists can enjoy one of the popular local snacks. In the surrounding area of the Cameron Highlands there are also a large number of Orang Asli villages, which you can visit. Here you can see the original inhabitants of Malaysia in their authentic community. The easiest way to visit the attractions is by organized tour. We found this really cheap compared to similar tours at other areas in Malaysia. For a half day tour we paid RM50 per person. The locations that you visit can be driven yourself if you have your own (rental) car, but they are pretty steep at certain points. Some parts of the tour you are better off in a sturdy 4x4.
