Church of San Giorgio Maggiore

The church of St. George Machore, built on a small island of the same name diagonally opposite the central part of the city, was designed by the famous Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Paladio, and was built in 1566 and only in 1610, 30 years after the architect's death. The 75-meter-high clock tower was built in 1467, collapsed in 1774 and was rebuilt in 1791. Now it stands simple and with the church, and stands on the view of the eastern sea mouth of Venice.

Visit Venice. Unfortunately, the weather is not very good, it has been cloudy, and occasionally light rain makes the trip to Venice a little regrettable like Vienna. I bought a day pass in the morning and took a boat to the city. The planned route starts with disembarking at St. George Maggiore, across the sea from St. Mark's Square. There are few tourists on the island. The church was built in the 16th century and is also a masterpiece.
