Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington

A very historic Jewish church, there were no people around when I passed by at noon, and I didn’t know if I could go in and visit. It was just a photo and a photo when I passed by.

Built in 1876 and restored and rededicated in 1970, the historic synagogue is now stewarded by the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington. It is open for educational tours, programs, and life-cycle events.

This is a Jewish church, the church is quite old, but we passed by without opening it and turned around. The church is the oldest Jewish church in Washington, so it attracts a lot of people.

The Greater Washington Jewish Historical Society, the oldest existing synagogue in the region, has been visited by many presidents, and there is a Jewish World War II exhibition.
