大同火车站坐火车到应县站下车，出站停车场就有直达木塔的中巴车，票价5元，半小时左右就到了，记得要一个司机的电话，回来前打电话会来接。应县木塔全木建筑，榫卯机构没有一颗钉子，现在文物保护已经不能登塔游览了，只能在一层参观，一层的大佛和壁画也非常精美。木塔后边有个寺庙也可以进去看看，全程参观用时两个小时左右。
