Khang appears to be one of the more traditional and genuine Japanese restaurants in Hanoi, which are not as common as most people might think. A lot of Japanese mid-range restaurants nowadays give one the impression that they are more like casual fast food joints. Not that there is anything wrong with their concept, but it is good to visit a Japanese restaurant where the food is prepared upon your order and the dishes take their time arriving at one's table. The fact that Khang is the sister restaurant of Kyy might have got something to do with it. For those of you who do not know, Kyy is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in Hanoi and stepping in gives one an impression of being transported to Japan. I wouldn't go into specific dishes here as I believe most of their dishes are very good. What I can say is that for Japanese dishes, freshness is the key factor. Go there and taste for yourselves!
