An excelent vacantion!! I traveled with my family, my kid absolutly loved the vintage carrossel and kids mini pool. It's quiet place, since most guests are families or workers. The staff is super nice and friendly and always helpfull. Definetly to came back.

Great rooms and nice resort but disappointing they do not allow check in before 4pm, considering they have so many villas and it wasn't busy at all. You'll also need to buy or bring a swim hat for the indoor pool where the fun police will stop you from entering the pool through the most accessible doors and send you up the stairs and around instead. Staff are nice and friendly. You could probably get a cheaper deal if booking late during off peak times.

Highly recommend. Flawless hotel, excellent service, super friendly staffs, amazing food quality. Every detail of our stay has been incredible. Also a special mention to the extremely helpful reception team. 2am room service is top notch, also one reception lady is so kind, she went above and beyond to help us to find a good Presunto, we will definitely come back because of the great service, which made our holiday stress free and enjoyable

WELL/Praca - Nice down here but expensive everywhere including the restaurants. VDL Residents get in free to pool(20 euro non resident)and get drinks discount but still 20 euro for a G&T & lager. Music, pool and sun loungers(if you can get one it’s busy and rarely any left) are good though. You can’t take any liquids in they will suck every last euro from you. All restaurants down here although expensive serve quality food. Accomodation- apartments are nice, spotless, really good, got everything you need in it. The reception staff are all so nice and can’t do enough for you, nothings a problem. Golf - book all 7 tee times for 7am but practice area doesn’t open till 7 so couldn’t have a warm up. Sometimes the cart guys and starters aren’t even in at this time which is annoying. The range is also limited to max 150 yards and closes at 5pm. Practice facilities let this place down. (Pro’s words also). Courses generally in good condition, the royal slightly better but a lot of ignorant players with thousands of unrepaired pitch marks which is a shame. Ocean front 9 a bit ropey condition wise. Both are a real test off white tees. Both have some superb holes of all different outlooks a real mixed bag, great. The grass is weird here and most tees are very spongy like moss which is different. Spikes restaurant - food and drink decent but expensive , service average, a bit slow but a nice venue. Nice setting looking into the practice putting green and 18th green. Resort shuttle - really good. Only one covering the whole resort, which is massive for the first few days so a bit slow but increased to 2 and so much better. The drivers are very polite and can’t do enough for you.
Lakeside Country Club - Apartamentos Turísticos

Lovely spacious and clean 2 bedroomed apartment with balcony overlooking the resort area. The air con was excellent, and the daily servicing of the apartment was appreciated! Reception staff on check-in and check-out were all very friendly and helpful! Also, very pet friendly... The indoor poor was excellent and very clean. The onsite restaurant served the inclusive breakfast and had outside seating which allowed us to sit with our dog. Lovely lady serving breakfasts.... The restaurant at night served a good choice menu in very pleasant surroundings, again with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good onsite parking but some stairs to negotiate! The location is in the heart of the Quinta do Lago area and a car was essential; the longish walk to the beach and board walks was only by road, about 15 minutes to The Shack, but not that many bars and restaurants close by. There is a shopping mall and supermarket about 5 minutes drive.
Conrad Algarve

We had heard great things about the Conrad from friends who are regular visitors so we had to give it a try. Firstly it is a beautiful hotel with staff who are second to none. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the main with a few minor irritations. I requested a quiet room and made the reservation six months in advance. On arrival it was a pleasant surprise to have complimentary valet parking. Then we were warmly greeted at check in and given plenty of information about the hotel. We were escorted to our room which was simply stunning. On a par, if not better than any 5* hotel we have stayed in previously. The bathroom/shower area was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. But on perusing the area outside our balcony on the first floor we discovered we were located directly above the kids club. Certainly not the quiet room we requested. We returned to reception to be told that the hotel was at capacity. According to the hotels booking engine that wasn’t quite the full truth. So we returned rather disappointed to our room. We were promised that we would be contacted the following day if another room could be found. This never happened. However that evening we ate at Louro which was excellent and made even better by the service offered by Ankit. The upper pool area is so relaxing and beautiful although in my opinion would be better if it was adults only. Pool side service was again exceptional. Acquiring sun beds did prove a challenge so a 8:15am start was required! I have a disability so moving to the lower pool wasn’t an option for me. A couple of days into our stay we met Maha from customer relations who is a credit to the hotel and really made our stay special. It was my husband’s birthday during our stay and we received a lovely surprise in our room which was much appreciated. Another word of praise must go to the breakfast staff. All professional, efficient, helpful and friendly. I did find the lunchtime/snacks menu a little uninspiring and feel improvements could be made there. The empty buildings on the side of the driveway look rather run down so not sure what they are for? If they belong to the hotel they do need some upkeep as the rest of the driveway is so impressive. I would give the review 4.5 stars if it was an option as a few tweaks could be made. But overall we had a fantastic stay and would love to return one day. Thank you team Conrad.
