All of this was told to the hotel staff multiple times and nothing was done about it. At check out the lady assured us again it would go to management, but clearly it didn't. My wife and I have stayed here since 2014 and I even rented the rooftop patio to propose to her in 2017. We have loved it here until this stay as it was absolutely terrible. When we checked in our room wasn't cleaned. There was pancake batter in the kitchen, toothpaste on the bathroom door and the floors were so filthy our feet were black by the time we brought out two loads of luggage in. They sent housekeeping the second day who refused to come in because we were cooking and residing in the room at the time to do so. While we understand it's uncomfortable for them it's also uncomfortable to be in a dirty room for three days. Housekeeping never came back and never cleaned our room. It was a brutal experience. If it was our first we would never be back and after this stay I don't know if we will ever be back. All it takes is the courtesy to make things right and that never happened. Furthermore the adult pool was closed the entire time we were at the resort. While that may be out of your control it is a huge attraction for why to come to this resort that couldn't be used. Not worth the money we paid to stay in a villa.

I believe the woman and her husband that we dealt with were wonderful, very responsive, they went way beyond what a regular employee would do to make us comfortable. They answer the phone immediately at any time. The place was very clean. This is a budget type motel and it was not cheap because we got the unit with two beds. I think they were double beds. They were in two different rooms but I could still hear noises from the front room because there is an opening over the door between the two rooms to allow air circulation from the a/c in the bedroom. The rooms are small and decor is plain but pleasant. This place has a nice kitchen which could be really handy if you wanted one. The dining table is on wheels which surprised me. It had 4 hard back chairs and no really comfortable chairs or sofa but that was not a problem for us. They had all the amenities like shampoo, facial tissues, nice towels including towels at the pool. The outdoor pool was wonderful, clean, nice variety of depths more than the usual shallow hotel pools and warm enough, much better temperature than I have found in large chain hotels. Lots of nice lounge chairs. We never heard the neighbors. There were two nice televisions, one in each of the two rooms. It would be nice if we could lock the windows opened just partway for security reasons because the outside air was lovely at night and this is on the ground floor in a motel layout where we could park right in front of our unit. Very handy. The a/c went off and on and made noise. But we did not hear road noise. Our unit was back off the road. One bed had a night stand which was nice, the other bed did not. Overall this was an impressive place and would be great for families.
Walnut Beach Resort

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Walnut Beach resort. Great location on the water, walking path to town, pool nice and warm. Great little gym. Resort amenities with boutique feel, 3 floors, easy access to parking garage which was by far the cleanliness I’ve ever seen! We arrived a bit later due to traffic so we were hungry and enjoyed a delicious salad and bison burger. We visited the Desert Centre and played golf 10 minutes from the hotel…perfect.
Best Western Plus Sunrise Inn

Great location and very walkable. Front desk staff was very kind and cordial, which was refreshing. Rooms facing the parking lot had lovely views of the hills which was nice to view from the front porch/patio. Hotel had a decent sized pet relief area that was grassy and clean. Breakfast was meh, usual dry and stale offers, and some of the rooms had a slight smoke smell (likely leftover from years ago). Hotel was extremely overpriced for a Best Western Plus, but we were tired so had no choice as it was the only gig in town. Over priced as in $355/night.
Richter Pass Beach Resort

I booked this motel based on the positive reviews, but was sorely disappointed. First, the positives: motel is right on the lake, location is wonderful; the room itself has obviously been refreshed-bathroom is clean, kitchen well stocked. Unfortunately, the air-conditioner is old and LOUD. It was located in the living area and did not cool down the bedroom AT ALL. We kept the window open in an effort to get some cool air in the bedroom, but ended up being kept awake by the loud partying in the room beside and below us. The windows are absolutely covered in cobwebs, old and new. The common areas are tired and dirty; we stayed two nights and crumpled cans and boxes in the stairwell and hallway were never picked up. To top it off, the motel charges you if you don't take out your own garbage from the room and put it in the bins by the front office upon check-out. I could maybe accept this if the motel put any effort into cleaning up the premises, but demanding guests clean up their own room when they can't do the bare minimum is unacceptable. I have worked and stayed in basic motels before, but this was definitely the worst experience. For $250/night, you can do better.
Sahara Courtyard Inn & Suites Osoyoos

Pros - Clean linens and towels, clean suite - Satisfactory wifi connection Cons - Sloppy and unprofessional front desk staff - They scrambled to start cleaning the suite after we arrived at 3:45 pm. Not even an apology offered considering we had just driven 5 hours with two toddlers. - Gaudy wall colours and interior finishes - Slightly pokey bedrooms with bedside tables one one side only - Poor illumination - only bright daylight ceiling light, no side table lamp shades in the living room/kitchen area - Most unsightly building, unprofessional workmanship - cables dangling all over the place on the building exterior. - Suite entrance is from the service lane, wide enough for one vehicle to pass. With insufficient building setback from the property line, guest cars have to be parked facing the building with their rear ends sticking out into the lane. - Construction debris, packing crate wood, building material and carpentry scrap lying around the building (see picture) - Overflowing recycling bins, housekeeping implements, bins out in the open in the swimming pool area. - All in all, a squalid environment and utter lack of aesthetic sense, and an eyesore. Conclusion: Not worth the price, and not recommended.
