Stayed at Shakya house for 4 weeks while writing my thesis. It was absolutely Perfect! Saajan and his family invited me with open arms and took care of every need. They even invited me to celebrate Dashain with the family, an experience wich I Will never forget. The room was clean, hot water in the shower and a decent breakfast. Nothing to complain about. Also big thanks to Rana who become a good friend of mine during my stay. I’m fleecet grateful for my stay with you and hope to see you again in the future!

In the heart of Lalitpur, just a few minutes walk from Patan Darbar Square Bhrikuti Stay is the ideal location to be immersed in art and culture, sights & sounds. This family run guesthouse is so welcoming, a home away from home, we became part of the family. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. There is a lovely roof garden and we had our own rooftop kitchen, spoilt with cooking lessons and delicious newari food, as we were longterm guests on work & family trip. Whether travelling for business or pleasure l highly recommend Bhrikuti Stay. We'll definitely be back.

During our recent four-day stay at the Kutumba Hotel in Lalitpur, we experienced a truly delightful experience. The Kutumba Hotel was perfect for our stay before leaving Nepal for the USA. The attention to detail that the Kutumba Hotel displayed was truly commendable. Every corner of our accommodation exuded cleanliness and comfort, from the spotless bedroom to the immaculate bathroom. Returning to such a well-maintained space at the end of each day was a pleasure. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional treatment we received from the staff. Throughout our stay, we were met with genuine respect and unwavering politeness. The team's dedication to ensuring our comfort did not go unnoticed, and it truly made our experience even more memorable. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the rooftop restaurant. Its breathtaking views provided an ideal setting for enjoying dinner. The delicious cuisine and enchanting atmosphere will stay with us long. This homestay has an absolutely amazing location! It is inside Patan’s Durbar Square so you are staying right inside a living museum! Do note- if you want to see the rest of the square and the museum inside, you must visit the ticket desk in the front of the square and purchase a ticket. You can use it for multiple days and trips to the museum, it is just your contribution to the preservation of the space. I also ended up hiring a guide for a historical tour of the area- which I would recommend. We walked around for about two hours and he shared a lot about the history and the importance of the Durbar square and palace. But, if you do not want a guide, it is not required. I stayed in the female dormitory room and it was really comfortable! The bedroom and attached bathroom was really clean and cozy. I did not spend a lot of time in the room during my time in Patan, but I would stay here again if given the chance. You are RIGHT in the square, so it can be loud if there are activities happening- but it was not a problem after 8pm so I did not mind it. The staff is really great and friendly, this was a really great place to stay!

The most hospitable hosts I have ever encountered. The rooms are well designed and clean, the service is friendly and impeccable. Their restaurant (The Oven) has good food and a lot of options. The pizzas, momo, mustang aalo (patato) and piro piro chicken are especially good. Their rooftop is a really relaxing place to hang out with good views of the Himalayas and the surrounding hills on clear days. All rooms have balconies, hot water, AC and natural sunlight.
