We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. Booked this hotel specifically for Disney and the experience exceeded expectations. The room is clean and tidy, there is no dead corner of hygiene, and it is very comfortable to stay. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of dishes to satisfy different tastes. The most thoughtful thing is that there is a free shuttle bus from Disney, so you don't have to worry about planning your own journey. The surrounding facilities are mature, it is very convenient to eat and take a taxi, and the location is excellent. Highly recommended for a family or group trip. This hotel is a great choice for a Disney trip. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the attention to detail is exceptional. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, just right for a good start. The hotel provides a free shuttle to and from Disney, which saves money and worry. The surrounding environment is excellent, there are many restaurants, there are many choices to eat, and it is very convenient to take a taxi at the door. Full marks for the overall experience, great value for money and will stay here again next time I visit Disney.

Easily one of my favorite hotels in Shanghai. Service is top tier and very friendly. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The meticulously decorated bathrooms are an exceptional addition. The mini bar… heaven! Didn’t get to have breakfast but will definitely be coming back.

The hotel is located near a hospital and a Lawson is located just 2 shops away. The place is surrounded by eateries. It’s about a 10minute drive to Shanghai Railway station. Rooms are spacious for the price with basic necessities provided. Non-smoking rooms are available but the smell of cigarettes is still evident within the vicinity. They provided free laundry services, make sure to get the detergent from the receptionist. Overall value for price stay.

This was honestly one of the most memorable hotel stays we have ever experienced. We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong to celebrate my girlfriend’s 23rd birthday during our first trip to Shanghai together, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Before arrival, Assistant Guest Recognition Manager Yana Ivleva kindly communicated with us by email and thoughtfully helped arrange everything for the celebration. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel welcomed even before we arrived at the hotel. The room decoration, birthday cake, handwritten card, flowers, and beautiful Bund view created such a special atmosphere for us. Every detail felt thoughtful and heartfelt rather than simply formal hotel service. The hotel itself was also outstanding — the room condition, cleanliness, facilities, swimming pool, and especially the incredible night view of Shanghai were all amazing. Flair Rooftop Bar was also a wonderful experience for enjoying the skyline and atmosphere. What impressed us the most, however, was the hospitality. Yana and the staff truly made this stay unforgettable for us, and thanks to them, our first trip to Shanghai became a memory we will cherish for a very long time. We are sincerely grateful to The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong and will absolutely look forward to returning again in the future.

From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were warm, attentive, and highly professional, consistently going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and seamless experience. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful, reflecting the highest standards of hospitality. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and extremely well-maintained. The attention to detail was impressive—from the luxurious bedding to the advanced in-room technology, everything was carefully curated for both comfort and convenience. The hotel facilities were equally outstanding. The ambiance throughout the property is elegant and refined, and the location along the Bund offers stunning views and easy access to key attractions in Shanghai. Dining was also a highlight, with excellent service and high-quality food. The overall experience—from check-in to check-out—was smooth, relaxing, and memorable. This is a true five-star hotel that delivers on both luxury and service. I would highly recommend The Peninsula Shanghai and would definitely return on my next visit.

The hotel is beautiful, situated right on the bund. The breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable. My family and I were travelling through China for 4 weeks, and I booked this place for 4 nights, we usually like to stay in places where we can do laundry, here we had to use an outsourced business to get our laundry done as there are no laundry facilities close by and it would have cost us $500 aud to get our laundry done through the hotel. Just something to be mindful of if you are travelling with a family. However in saying that, the process of outsourcing was only made possible because of the assistance given by the hotel. I’m glad we booked it, the experience overall was great.
